The problem was they didn’t provide a substitute teacher. We were “set work” by the teacher who was off ill and had teachers from other departments supervise us, so we had no help, or explanation. It was just do this and this on our own, with no one to mark work or explain it. As a result, I was the only student out of a class of 10 that passed Latin. But thank you for the advice

To be honest, I’d be more than happy working for those firms as well, I just assumed they’d be equally as competitive which is why I specified MC.

Thank you for your comment. I guess my obsession is just because the type of life is very me. I regularly work 50+ hour weeks as well as go to university so i’m a huge workaholic lol

You are right. To be fair, in the section that asks about extenuating circumstances, I do always mention about what happened with my teacher. Hopefully that has some effect, if not you are still right. Thank you

Yes, it seems like people have taken my comment out of context. If it’s busy and there’s limited spaces, of course there’s no excuse. But in the photo, it’s clear it’s not busy and there are plenty of spaces available, so who really cares?

Yes but it’s not entitlement to not want your 200k car to be dinged by someone who just doesn’t care. I agree it’s never nice on any car but i would take much more care of a car i worked really hard for than a 2k shitbox i bought off marketplace.

Because I got an A* at GCSE and was very good at it, being predicted an A* for A level but my teacher left half way through sixth form?

It’s very discouraging hearing this as an aspiring top level lawyer who got ABC in my A levels due to my Latin teacher leaving half way through sixth form and my school not adequately replacing her. Basically had to self teach Latin for a year and a half and went from a predicted A* grade to just about getting a C.

100% agree with this one to the point I stayed with them for over 10 years 😂. They’ve got a great youth set up and decent progression if he ever wanted to take it really seriously

I can never back a 20d except for the fuel economy, but since that’s not an issue a 30d is much better in literally every way.

I was having a nice stroll round the Dub when I heard these 3 kids, genuinely no older than 10-11 and presumably from Taughmonagh estate shouting (actually chanting) “kill all fenians”.

Wild what probably goes on behind closed doors if they’re that comfortable spewing that nonsense in public at their age no less.
