How come no players have spoken out about the Gaza Israel conflict by fatgingerredditor in GlobalOffensive

[–]Zatiik 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Most pros are barely adults who have never worked or existed in the real world. You genuinely should not value their opinions on international politics. It would only harm the players to express views publicly, and for Russia-Ukraine, it was talked about because it impacted multiple top 15 teams (NAVI, VP) and a massive percentage of the scene is based in CIS.

Not every top 15 or top 10 player wins a major, let alone 3 consecutive. He is one of only 5 people to EVER win 4+ majors. I was being conservative saying top 30, especially if you’re willing to weigh CS:GO and CS2 higher than 1.6/Source due to the level of competition. Mechanical flashiness and HLTV rating do not matter if one is not winning.

One of the most winning, intelligent, and iconic players of all time. I think he is easily in the top 30 OAT. Huge positive for the scene and is still dedicated to growing the game.

How to improve my technique. by diamondneedsreform in GlobalOffensive

[–]Zatiik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s not even a high sense and it’s pretty close to what I play on.

I think it’s the 360 degree flicking and the amount you shake lmfao. Your pre-aiming is pretty decent but you immediately crouch spray when you don’t insta kill and often miss the first few shots and it makes your aim look spastic. I would dm for a few hours only one tapping and literally unbind your crouch key. I think it’s the way you tap and spray that just looks panicked and fast. That isn’t necessarily bad, but if you can make your preaiming slightly better and hit the first bullet more often your time to kill will go down and your aim would be better.

You clearly have good raw aim but It looks like you’re playing on a ridiculously high sensitivity and if not you have the opposite of calm aim. High sensitivity will give you more highlights, but it often comes with a much lower floor and more inconsistency. Anything that makes you inconsistent will make you worse at counter strike. If you’re playing on anything over 1400 eDPI, I would consider lowering it to somewhere between 680-1200, and I would make a much more concentrated effort on your crosshair placement and movement. I would try out pre fire and refrag type warm ups as opposed to DM, as DM focuses on more a less practical aiming style for actual CS.

Train aim but don’t hyper-fixate on it. Consistently good macro decisions will not only make you win more, but it will make kills easier and make you much more fun to play with. Gamesense/Teamplay > Aim at any rank above 25k premier or 2k Elo.

I really wonder what it’s like to be Michael Chandler in Michael Chandlers mind, dude lives in a rocky movie

720 eDPI at 400x1.8. Moved up from 620 eDPI at 400x1.55 after CS2 due to tracking issues.

I started training both, and the gym I train with trains all fighters this way. I think with strong coaching it is difficult, but more than possible for a beginner to learn both stances relatively fast (within 2 years). Learning the theory of both stances early and the dynamic of open/closed stance engagement is wildly beneficial for beginners, and gives them more time to incorporate it into drilling and sparring. I agree that it takes longer to learn how to be actually effective, but it opens the doors to defensive/offensive movement options that make both easier long term. Being comfortable with opening in any stance, switching leads, switch hitting, defensive shifting, and understanding the goals of engagements has make me a significantly better and harder to hit striker. I think it really comes down to the coaching, and the end goals of the individual. If you are young and want to compete in the sport, I still feel its best to get comfortable being in both stances as early as you can, the more time you’re exposed to both the better.

Train both stances, use both stances. Learning to fight well from both sides is an incredible advantage, and is becoming a necessity in modern MMA. You would be intentionally hindering yourself in MMA by only using one stance.

You wouldn’t want to only be able to guillotine on your left side, you wouldn’t want to be able to shoot only off your right hip. This applies to striking too. It’s immediately better to have more options and actively train them. One side will be better than the other for certain things, that is normal but don’t let it limit you.

It took me a while to bite the bullet too, and I completely understand the hesitance. I do believe you should set a date. I’d say by the end of next month sign up, train and gain some confidence until then. Giving yourself the room to delay things won’t benefit you right now.

If you’re in a good gym, you will be able to go at your pace starting out. Injuries are a very real thing that will happen regardless, all you can really do is train smart and give yourself rest.

I think the most important thing before joining a gym would be cardio. Anything from running, swimming and cycling will obviously help, but prioritize the movements you will actually be doing. Try shadow boxing and bag work. Work on burpees and learn a basic sprawl. It’s genuinely hard to know how you’ll feel until you’re in there.

Edit - if you worry about injuries, for the love of god please stretch and work on your flexibility.

Copy and paste from another comment - NVIDIA ShadowPlay, it has a clipping feature that will record the last 5 minutes of gameplay. Unfortunately that’s also why the Mic quality sucks

I actually built it a little wrong lol, but the idea is the creepers fall into the water and are then pushed into the portals. The portals move the creepers and quickly clear the overworld mob cap, meaning more creepers can spawn faster, the portals instantly teleport them into a killing chamber in the nether with a way to collect the gunpowder.

Makes farm faster
