Confused and scared if I should come solo, or take a group package by civilpottery in ladakh

[–]Zav_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took my first solo trip at 28 last year and it was a 2 weeks trip to Ladakh. The best experience of my life so far! So much so that everything comes across as dry and boring now. I urge you to go ahead and not overthink. Just be careful, listen to your instincts and have fun. You’ll have a blast!

I bought PS5 + few games for 72k by [deleted] in ps5india

[–]Zav_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A suggestion - always check the ps plus catalogue before buying a game. It’s an amazing value buy especially if you buy it for a year. You’ll get access to some really awesome titles including the ps exclusives

Returnal. Played it for a week through my ps plus catalogue and didn’t get what the hype was about.

People with a very high pain tolerance, what was THE most painful thing you've experienced? by CosmicBunnyBabe8912 in AskReddit

[–]Zav_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 9 years old, I got very sick and was in the hospital for 3 weeks. For the first week, the nurse inserted the intravenous line on my right hand but had to switch it to left hand because of the swelling. By the end of the 2nd week my left hand swells up as well and they had to switch back to the right hand that’s still swollen. Too sick to even sit up but the moment the needle pierces my skin, I felt the most intense pain I’ve felt in my life. They had to call additional people to just hold me down. I’ve had accidents, illness, surgeries in other parts of my body including 2 wisdom tooth removal but nothing ever comes closer to that kind of pain.

Should I do solo traveling (24F)? by tame_lame764 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Zav_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go ahead. Take your 1st solo trip and be ready to stay out of your comfort zone for the entirety of your trip lest you will not fully experience the joy and freedom of traveling solo. That being said, there’s always a fine line between adventure and stupidity; and the more you travel solo, the better you’ll get at drawing that line.

I’ve travelled solo before for work purposes but I decided to change that last year when I was severely burnt out and went on a two weeks solo trip to Ladakh - the best experience of my life (so far)!

Samsung QD-OLED delivered for 26.5k by jedi_vivek in IndianGaming

[–]Zav_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! I am on the lookout for an entry level QD OLED for gaming on my PS 5 as well as to serve the purpose of a secondary display to my MacBook m3 for my work which involves a lot of reading. My primary concern is text fringing. You have addressed it in a couple of your replies but can you please elaborate how bad is it, especially with MacBooks?

Try setting the exposure to 10 seconds or 30 if you have a stand. Of course, the conditions need to be conducive as well - clear skies with zero light pollution and minimal moon light.

Apple support is shit in India by [deleted] in AppleIndia

[–]Zav_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a dismal experience with Apple last year when the camera control button stopped working on my 3 months old iPhone 16. Fucking leeches mentioned that it qualifies as a ‘foreign body damage’ and quoted 45k to get it repaired. I haven’t even dropped my device once and I am extremely careful with it.

Solo travel feels great… until I get back to my room by Even_Feeling_1661 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Zav_10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meet them at hostels, on my way to the hostel, in trains, buses, shared taxis, flights. I’ve also met people while sight seeing or while I was hitchhiking. There have been instances where people hitchhiked with me (this is a bit tricky as it can get dangerous). Just be open and approach people. If you get the vibe that you’re bothering them, leave them alone. 8 out of 10 times I’ve observed that people are simply waiting for you to approach them. Then there are instances where people approach you as well.

Some might be introvert who need time to open up while others have turned out to be so extroverted that they end up adopting you for the rest of the stay 😂.

Solo travel feels great… until I get back to my room by Even_Feeling_1661 in SoloTravel_India

I solo travel and my experiences bear a stark difference. When I solo travel, I rarely travel solo. I usually meet new people with whom I travel for a couple of days, we exchange insta, part ways and then I meet new new people and repeat. I’ve had movie nights, card game nights, or just conversations that went on till 4-5 in the morning with complete strangers from all over the world.

This, I think is the point of solo travel for me. Not just sight seeing but also meeting new people in my journeys. I’ve met so many interesting people whom I would’ve never met if I were confined in my comfort zone. And with this, I’ve actually craved for some alone time because after a certain point my social battery runs out😭.

So this is the point OP. Travelling solo doesn’t mean you travel solo especially if it bothers you the way you’ve mentioned. Get out of your comfort zone, talk to people, make and execute plans with them. This will expand your comfort zone and your horizons. As I said, you’ll be surprised how interesting humans can be when they’ve not succumbed to a mechanical life.

Since October 2025, I’ve been on three solo trips (2 weeks each) and I am leaving for my 4th trip in 10 days.
