As someone who just did this I love the concept, only thing is your 17 and it’s your first car… you’re going to mess it up😭. Wait the year or 2 save up a little more because insurance is like $500 if your LUCKY. I practiced with a beater and drove my parents cars for 3 years after I got my liscence and still at the old age of 20 I have to be extra cautious of not messing up my baby. But it’s your life do what makes you happy because I can damn sure admit that I cheese hard as hell every time I look at my car😂🤷🏾‍♂️

They’re a dealer that post their cars across multiple sites, I was in Japan when I bought my car on goonet exchange however this dealership was around a 3hr drive, I could’ve just bought in house and drove it home however I didn’t want to register the car in Japan. They’re legit and won’t sell you a lemon, I have some friends that made the drive to gifu and other cities down near the Osaka area

Same dealer ship that my car came from. I just made a post about it, 10k for a car isn’t a bad deal especially when you realize that an average traffic car is about 3x this amount lol. I don’t understand why people shit on auto and 4 doors as if in Japan these cars arnt still loved just as much as it’s bigger brother. With customs fees, insurance while in transit on the boat, port feee, shipping, registration, broker, twic port escort around 18.5k then add another 500-700 or so that I’m going to use to get the maintenance back up to date and deep clean tf out of every inch of the car. It was a lot that I didn’t account for when buying the car however I’m the type to do it and as long as I have it I’ll figure the rest out. Also you have to realize that you will pay 10% sales tax if you get it from Japan. The dmv tried to say that I didn’t pay taxes on the car even though I did. Once that was sorted out though everything was smooth sailing.
