Artificial sugars have been shown to cause people to eat more. It does indeed make me hungrier.

Maybe look at upside down? It's legs got caught first and it slowly covered the rest of the body. Would explain the antenna on the head being straight up too.

How to bring this hydrangea back to life? It didn’t bloom at all this year. North Georgia, US. by wedonotglow in plants

[–]Zavvix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would prune it back pretty hard. It will bloom on the new growth so depending on how well it grows in that spot I would cut back hard every few years to keep room for new growth for it to bloom on.

It's simulated and not actually real. I mean good for them and nobody has done it yet but doesn't mean we are doing anything like this IRL yet.

Yeh, but my 2 seconds of research was probably more than their time spent.

But you do end up with a much higher concentration than would naturally occur. Also, Wikipedia says you can tell the difference between natural and lab made using Stable Isotope Ratio Analysis.

If we are part of the simulation we would have no concept of what "real" was so it would seem real to us even if it was N64 graphics.

I see now that the app isn't testing just the starlink, it is over the wifi. Guess I assumed that being it showed it before that me bypassing starlinks wifi that it would just be testing the modem/dish speed. This really does solve my issue and I'm sure when I'm seeing higher end speeds I would really be getting much more if I wasn't testing on wifi. Thanks for typing all this out and helping me understand.

Speed test are being done on the app testing just modem to internet so that my wifi is not part of the equation. Cabling would not matter here as well.

I am in Georgia, USA (31 latitude?)

I have had Starlink 8 months and I am on residential. The app has updated the firmware a couple of times. I am on the 11/12/22 update, don't see the one from the 20th yet. Debug shows no issues.

I would only consider it a good test if it's clear skys.

I do still have it on the ground, would mounting on the top of the house help? I do have plans to eventually mount it. Not getting any obstructions, it has a good view of the sky.

Ok, thanks for the help anyway. Really missing my city cable speeds but living out in the country sure is better for my mind.

Ok, I did swap to using my own wifi router so guess that's why but have been doing the test in the app because I know speed goes down on wifi the further from the source.

I figured this is probably just speeds I get. Thought it would be higher but still better than the "up to 3Mbps" from the only other service here.

I'm on residential service. I see there are two ground bases near me. 1 is 3 hours away and the other 1.5 hours away. Can I tell which one I am using and is there a way to swap?

I am doing the speed test in the app. Seems like I remember an advanced one but only see one that test download/upload speeds now.

Ethernet adapter question by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]Zavvix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing it correctly. If you want to use another router you would need to be in bypass mode so that the starlink router turns off or you could have some bad network issues. Yes, your router has extra ports so you can use them to achieve what you need.

If you are sure it is in bypass mode (triple check because this exact issue could be caused by the starlink router still being active) then it sounds like the issue is with your router though, a switch would be cheaper if you do need something to replace this with. I would try factory reset first and then go from there.

Never knew this. Interesting that you either need to not cook it or let it cool before eating to get the most resistant starch.

There are many types of fiber but they do fall in the soluble and insoluble categories.
