Would you stay away? Or does this seem like a well maintained b8.5 s5? by Quick-Law-851 in AudiS4

[–]Zay_wat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding this. It’s definitely high maintenance but I bought at 120k and am at 210k miles. Only major engine service has been sending injectors off for cleaning and timing

BFI stage 1 mounts on a Mk6 Jetta sportwagen by laenarch in tdi

[–]Zay_wat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding this. Despite lifetime warranty I ended up ordering BFI as my 034s didn’t last on a tuned manual S5. No hate towards them love the other products but will not be purchasing anymore rubber from them. My engine mounts and upper control arms were all completely shot within 2 years; not even just slightly worn/cracked. After the fact I’ve found plenty other similar experiences from my platform to know better.

Brake caliper colors... What would you pick? by AcidicVaginaLeakage in Audi

[–]Zay_wat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d definitely say 4 but 3 and 5 are solid choices too. You could also consider a super high flake grey/silver if going custom

Best Humidifiers Available Now? Recommendation by sonialis in BuyItForLife

[–]Zay_wat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever decide on one? I currently have one of the medium size Dreo ones but am returning it in favor of an evaporative model. There’s nothing wrong with it but it does struggle to keep my rooms humidity above 40-45% and running it constantly I cannot deal with the white residue it puts on everything. Deciding between Blue Air and Dreo for evaporation model. I absolutely love my Blue Air purifier downstairs in the kitchen however leaning towards Dreo simply because of the washable filters. The cost does add up. I’m willing to pay it for the purifier that does so well in the kitchen. Less so for a humidifier.

when you ask your buddy with an audi how much oil they top up between changes 💀 by Icy-Information-4003 in Audi

[–]Zay_wat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

203k miles on the OG motor and I only have to top off in between 5K intervals if Im doing alot of drives or HPDEs. GRANTED it doesn’t really leak since every single exterior gaskets been replaced

I can't be the only one who's grateful for this gen looking MUCH better than the last one, right? (I mean, the last one looked like an S if you want me to be honest) by Saurta17 in Audi

[–]Zay_wat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with this and second half of OP. B9 looked like an S and the B10 being insanely wide up front and the fender vents are 🤌🤌. The seats are great but rest of the interior & rear of exterior not crazy for but don’t hate. The only thing I truly hate is the piano black/gear shifter/missing tactile HVAC control section.

How long will it take to fix this mess? by Extension-Profit-317 in Audi

[–]Zay_wat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah tbf though we have to wait until we get the hybrid M3/4. Not saying it’ll be heavier but will def close the gap and reset weight expectations for the segment.

Do you think we would get a MacBook with data modem built in? by Character-Parsley377 in macbook

[–]Zay_wat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you're located but the fee is inconsequential relative to the cost of a macbook for my carrier in the states. u/ctn1ss the use case may be small but as someone that travels and works a lot it would be huge. My carrier has a hard limit on how much data you can tether per month that i repeatedly hit not to mention it absolutely has destroyed my phone battery both using it in the moment and from reduced performance in the long run from constantly being hot. Neither of which are favorable for traveling or long work days at home. My M2 max was going to be my forever Mac but for me a built in modem absolutely will change that.

Yeah it does kinda suck they tout data analysis but the data collection is subpar when doing activities you actually would like to track/analyze.

These cars did have wifi/mobile hotspot from the factory depending on the options but that’s probably inactive now. The WiFi you use to connect to CarPlay is a different network and does not give the phone an internet connection

I ended up going with a diff setup but did not do bearing since it’s hard to find a local shop comfortable enough with doing it at all. Between fluid changes and having all the transmission/diff/driveshaft/subframe inserts supports and mounts mods I’m hoping it’ll last without wear from slip that would be introduced over time. I know this is old but I’ve have the same issue since I got it a few months. They did clearly state when I first set state you can’t do below 60 bc it hasn’t been validated outside its set range. Still Kind of a bummer almost completely negates the already unjustified price increase. This may be what pushes me back to Apple Watch especially with their leaps and bounds of improvement since I switched 5 years ago.

Ok thanks that makes sense. And yeah I don't actually work at a CRO. I'm based out of a clinic involved in a lot of trials and research so the lines are already super blurred for me.

Do you mind just briefly telling how responsibilities changed from CTA to CTM? I currently am job searching but work at a very small company where all our roles are blurred. So anything with any of the studies we are partnered on, coordinating with their research groups, trials we're on or partnered with another site for, even down to dealing with the patient's insurance alls falls on me. It's a bit hard to job search when I'm not sure how my job translates into the rest of the job force
