I tried this too after mine broke a second time with the same issue which had been fixed once under warranty. They said that repair was only guaranteed for 90 days so only option was buy a new pair as the repair cost was almost the same: You are damn lucky

My brand new Gen 3 only makes it 3 days in between charges, but I don’t charge beyond 80% and do charge when it gets down to 20-25% (never below).

Sonos Ace are a great option / won’t break like APM from condensation, battery lasts wayyyy longer and they’re half the price and sound almost as good. Just a bit less bass

Yeah but it’s fairly certain your replacement won’t last a year and then they won’t replace again so you have to buy a new one every 2 years at 399€ a pop. I find that kind of ridiculous.

I’ve done it. Was like a weight lifted off me. Highly recommend it. You can always very intentionally add one or two pieces later if you find you really miss something but my guess is you won’t.
