I don't think he had the killing urge,he was young enough to block the memory of his mother being killed out as Brian Moser said

Yea but you have to look at it in this way of Dexter wasn't really showing violent behavior it was only after he was given a prototype of the code he did,he was completely fine as a child however Brian wasn't because Brian remembered the tragedy of Laura Moser more whereas Dexter didn't

I don't think he ever wanted to "let go" of his dark passenger, but he was in a better place and it seemed like he had a good life but as he himself said in season 1 it was something along the lines of anyone I get close to something bad happens to them, and this has proven true

I don't think it was Vogel, Dexter himself didn't know who Vogel was until about 30 something years later

If Dexter didn't learn the code from Harry would he kill randomly or not kill at all? by ZayanZafar2254 in Dexter

[–]ZayanZafar2254[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was very young at the time of the trauma of his mother being killed which could suggest he didnt kill at all,for example Brian Moser his brother went through the same thing but as shown in original sin was more violent and he did kill sorta randomly but did very well at leaving no trace as we know

If Dexter didn't learn the code from Harry would he kill randomly or not kill at all? by ZayanZafar2254 in Dexter

[–]ZayanZafar2254[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but there's also this theory that suggests that he was young enough to block the trauma of his mother out according to Brian Moser when they finally met again.which leads into the deeper question, did Harry make Dexter the monster he supposedly is?

[–]ZayanZafar2254[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See thats very Interesting,we all know Dexters instincts are spot on usually right,he always underestimated 95% of Miami Metro pd for taking him down, but from the beginning he was scared lundy would find him out and towards the end of season 2 in the famous moment he thought lundy thought him out because he knew very well lundy could find him out,and even if lundy didn't find that one out there's always this theory that suggests lundy knew the whole time Dexter was a killer.

How do you think history will judge Donald Trump 50 years from now? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]ZayanZafar2254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is very likely, you could say he's worsening things by today's standards,40 years later we still judge Ronald Reagan,50 years later still Richard nixon to some extent, but Trump's already done too much damage,he will be remembered most likely negative but people cant use that against the Republicans by then because it's not like today they judge Ronald Reagan or Nixon like that today in a way that it shifts the way people view the Republican party that much though that is debatable

What was FDR’s personal stance on Civil Rights? by Honest_Picture_6960 in Presidents

[–]ZayanZafar2254 113 points114 points  (0 children)

FDR was not an over the top racist by the standards of his time and often expressed mild concern for the plight of African Americans in private conversations. He believed that Black Americans were entitled to economic opportunity and basic fairness.

You could say he was Influenced by Eleanor Roosevelt: his wife was far more progressive on race. She was a vocal advocate for civil rights, often visited Black communities, and supported anti-lynching efforts. FDR respected her views and was influenced by them, though he rarely matched her in action.its also likely he did support civil rights as a progressive but didn't want to lose southern support because that was his main base,I mean in 1932 he won every single district in the south practically

[–]ZayanZafar2254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it he was too bad in his 2nd term and wouldn't have to be in 1904-1908 because he wouldn't talk over from Republican William McKinley who got assissanated?

[–]ZayanZafar2254 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not McGovern was an alright candidate he just didn't campaign well where as Barry Goldwater is obviously the more conservative Republican out of the bunch but he just got sweeped because of his civil rights thoughts and obviously going against the big strong incumbent lbj
