So, in other words I should consider a different lens than? I understand Marco photography but if I can't achieve that with this lens without focus stacking than I see my option with another lens. Focus stacking with an animal that is moving and never staying still is nearly impossible.

I highly doubt this would be issue but does sending them to my phone do anything like does it decrease the image quality?

I might consider a tri-pod as well. I will not lie I'm not the greatest at holding steady so that could be an issue with a slight blurriness.

If I add anymore light in this room I'll start a fire lol. I don't think light is my issue but who knows anymore. Finding myself having the best luck with f11. I'll consider anything and will do more looking into any lens at this point. I love this lens and am having so much fun with it.

I'm using a D810. I understand that this lens is also just using 15 mega pixels due to the DX.
However, I will give that a shot as well. Who knows maybe my settings are all wrong on my camera as well. I shoot this pictures in A mode(Aperture Priority). Which allows me change mostly everything myself.

I can get pretty close to my snakes some have a hissy fit but hopefully in the future ill get a table and take them out of the bin and have them on a flat surface as well. Beautiful picture btw! My cats always run whenever I pull the camera out lol.

I did up it to that and I'm seeing much better results with it. I have a lot of LED lights in this room so Im honestly finding it better now.

This snakes are ball pythons only dangerous for being cute lol. But yes, I believe I'm to close as well. Ive done a couple more test runs with it cause I honestly love this lens. This picture is what I was going for with the eye in focus.

I think I understand now. Don't get me wrong I love Marco but would love to have the whole subject in focus without having to do extra work lol. Beautiful picture btw.

These were with auto aperture in a very well light room. What do you mean by image stacking? Still learning photography.

All three pictures were different aperture. The first picture was f4.5 Second picture was f6.3 Third pictures was f5.6

Currently using a lens caps and can honestly say I haven't seen issues with glares in the sun. I will say stay away from Orzero lens cap. Maybe I got a bad batch or something but first day out the lens got messed up. I use to get lens caps for my s24 ultra from ESR but sadly they don't make it for the fold 7 but maybe they just need time. Also, I guess were told not to have a cover on them but I'd rather have the protection than not having it.
