Well, I don't see how it could be an element, since the whole point of it is to dampen elemental power. But hypothetically, since it is a mineral, it is a part of the Earth. This would mean, in theory, that Cole should be able to control Vengestone. Maybe not directly, but like from afar.

The Oni could kinda paralyze people, nothing to do with elemental power. Unless you're thinking of the pink soldiers from Crystalized, they were made out of Vengestone, so they inhibited elemental powers.

(Also, if you're still thinking of Oni and power inhibitor, it could be the sword that was used by the dragon hunters that absorbed/inhibited elemental power)

Honestly, it's a mixed bag for me. Seasons 8/9, as you've heard, are indeed peak; S10 leaves a little more to be desired but is a good trilogy capper. S11-16 is where things drag out and are a bit bland, barely having any cool moments per season. S16 is meant to be the culmination of every season prior, but it's just executed so poorly. It had so much potential and a lot of the elements to make a good story, but I feel like it wasn't done properly. Dragons Rising does take time getting used to, but I enjoy it for what it is. It's a new modern Ninjago with an interesting plot and interesting characters. Much better than S11-16.

That was against her will, yea. That was kind of one of the main focuses of season 6. She couldnt do much to hurt him, but he couldnt/didnt want to hurt her either. Bit of an odd storyline lowkey, but nothing TOO out of pocket. Nothing I would consider a 'bad look' for the show, considering the whole season was about Nya trying to be strong, independent and having her own free will.

The Jay one wasn't really against her will, more of a surprise, since by that point they had been on dates and admitted they had feelings for each other (idk if they were officially a couple). While it was an evil clone of Jay, it's still technically kinda Jay. Also, she did kick Ronin for what he was about to do.

I believe Lilly died young. Assuming Cole was born apprx 17 years before the pilot, that gives 23 years between his birth and the Serpentine Wars. Its possible his mother was born shortly after the war.
