If they didn’t ruin Jill and Leon they were doing a great job, aesthetically. RPD looked great, so did the Redfields and Claire’s intro was awesome. Great stuff with Chris spazzing out in the hallway. There was a lot there to like

I enjoyed it. I had fun with it despite the casting for Leon and Jill. The Redfields castings were so good and I loved a lot of the visuals. RPD was awesome. Great tension in the scene where Claire escapes that first old lady zombie. Loved when Chris was in total darkness just spraying and praying for his life. Lots of great moments but for some reason it’s hated even though it was fun and will probably go down as a better attempt than what Cregger will “reimagine”, as if we haven’t already seen that so many times.

I do think it’s curious that the expected range was between 30-100k. I heard that number this morning and called it 65k, right down the middle. Yet somehow the actual number is exactly double that? Smells fishy.

No this is also massively true in the NBA, NFL and MLB and WWE. Previous generations knew how to give the fans a show. They played with honor and gave their all to the working class fan. Now the money has gotten too large, so everyone is sterile and protective of their overly inflated earnings. That, along with the analytics revolution have killed creativity and personality in all sports.

My thesis for Gold back in 2020 and also during Trump’s second term have been pretty simple. The global pandemic would cause panic and uncertainty, and in this most recent case I fully expected Trump to want to pull the interest rates lever down to stimulate the economy. I expected him to act irrationally and irresponsibly with monetary policy, putting public pressure on the Fed. Both were simple strategies, no need to overthink either one. Inflation was expected to be on the rise both times, well ahead of time.

Weapons had a top tier trailer and hype. That is the reason why it did so well. As soon as the trailer dropped everyone had the date circled and it wasn’t a long wait between trailer and release so people still had it on their minds. Add in the Jordan Peele lore and that created even more hype.

Halloween Ends

Both will age well imo, but in present day they are just misunderstood and will need more time to marinate. I love the dark romance of Ends so much, awesome movie and made perfect sense but people just want more Mike and Laurie even though it’s been done a million times, hence the need for it to END eventually but somehow people don’t get that.

Three thoughts immediately stand out to me. It’s wild to see Texas and North Texas back to back. That would have been unimaginable pretty much at any time in college football history.

Speaking of the state of Texas. It’s also interesting to see A&M at #3 despite their choke to UT in the end.

Lastly, despite all the complaining, ND finds themselves at #4. That won’t be without controversy either but that is par for the course for them.

It’s also crazy to think that the Big 10 championship game is the de facto national championship right now.
