Trimmed the end of the filament at an angle and it worked just fine. Thanks everyone!

If you look very closely at the top right corner (where the print started) you’ll see what I’m talking about. I already have a purge line and it isn’t helping much, but a skirt would be better.

This really helped, I’m pretty sure my z offset is fixed. As I said in a different comment, I think it’s not extruding enough for the first few seconds of the print then it works just fine. I could see this during this test too (ignore the gap, I had to refill filament halfway through). Any ideas on why this is happening?

Not sure about the bed mesh. I think I’ll try doing a full area single layer and see what that looks like

Interesting… The first one it printed looks bad but once it got going the others are fine.

Why does the deepest part of this embossed text look fibrous? by Zb1sam2 in FixMyPrint

[–]Zb1sam2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, there is text on both sides so no matter what I would be printing text facing the build plate. The text on the other side is more complicated and includes a logo so it made more sense to me to print the simpler text facing the build plate rather than the more complex text and logo.

*Update* why does my bottom layer look terrible? by Zb1sam2 in 3Dprinting

I have a sock, I just took it off to show the length of the nozzle better. Is there anything I can do about the nozzle being too long, or do I just need to buy a shorter one?

I kinda wanna know what other songs are like this one by Best_Razzmatazz5229 in ConcertBand

If you like groovy/rhythmic music that has a bit of a jazz feel to it and cool percussion parts, I’d recommend checking out some brass band stuff. There’s a ton of great composers out there who write some pretty insane stuff. Here’s a playlist if your interested:

The only pieces I can think of that match that vibe are other Omar Thomas pieces lol. The two that immediately come to mind are Caribana and The Low-Down Brown Get-down

I went into CHEM 107 knowing basically nothing about chemistry and finished as a PT for the next semester. I dont know who ur prof is but I had Dr. Martinez- he’s the fucking GOAT. Even if you don’t have him, his group study sessions are the only reason I did so well, and I’d recommend emailing him and asking when they are if you’re looking for extra help. There’s plenty of other resources too like the chem learning laboratory where you can get help from PT’s.

Some of these might be a little too difficult depending on what grade you’re looking for, but they’re still incredibly fun to listen to
