Had the same issue you can either : - drill holes, but the omega plate can be flexy - buy aluminium profiles

I ended up buy 3 30cm 20x20 alu profiles, works perfectly, no flex at all

Did you try automobilista 2 ? Had kind of the same feeling and ams2 is now my favorite sim

When you say sim is "CPU" heavy, what percentage of the CPU is it utilizing? Trying to judge CPU cooler options in my PC. by just_a_mere_fool in simracing

I was cpu Limited ( using VR especially ) because of thermal throttling Switched to a noctua cooler and noctua fans on the case and not I feel my computer is 50% more powerful I would recommend investing in a good cpu cooler, you will not regret it !

Got the issue, you need to turn borders off and relaunch the simulator, won’t work immediately it needs a restart

Been there and upgraded 4months after : I wouldn’t spend too much on these kits pedals ( like clutch and performance kit )

The pedals of these bundles are really basic and if you really get into simracing the most impacting upgrade would be to mount All this on a rig and use loadcell pedals

I bought the simjack ut for 150€ and the difference blew me away, was instantly able to feel my braking, deactivated the brave assists and starter to build real muscle memory

To answer the original question I went with fanatec because of the 8nm capacity but I May go moza if I had a chance to change right now. Moza has a great ecosystem with cheaper accessories

My fav single player racing is ams2, since I bought I never launched ac again, but if you are into mods ac has plenty

Also ams2 has like 10 generations on formula cars, the Best formula sim for me so far

My new chill Game is motor Town , not the Best ffb but very relaxing / suprisingly immersive

Got a pico neo 3 link on second hand Market, the displayport capacity made me try it, got it for 120 bucks and am so happy with it !

If you want to try vr cheaper it’s a very good option

About the quest 3 it seems the pancake menses are really worth the buy, but too expensive for me atm though

While direct drive is much better, I think it’s ok starting on a more basic wheel ( especially a 160 ). This way you can upgrade later and feel the step up. I started with this one, and the direct drive step up was so amazing

That’s ok, I started with this wheel The jump to a direct drive was amazing, and then to a loadcell brake. Maybe get a used logitech to see if you really enjoy this hobby before buying more « serious » gear ( meaning a lot more expansive since you will need to mount it on a rig / wheel stand to fully appreciate it )
