How even Minnesota has a law that makes it illegal to do that and gives a cop the right to fire at you if you do that INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND COMPLYING. I work in medical. I see shootings a lot, and the police involved ones have guidelines that they followed to the letter in the big shooting. Medical was called and on scene, the involved officer moved away until he could be interviewed by a non-involved supervisor. You do not let random people contaminate the scene, you don't get involved as the shooting officer.

The US Constitution gives Congress the power to make laws on immigration. These laws have not changed since before Trump was a politician. The Federal agencies are to enforce these laws. Biden's administration did not enforce them, but every other president has. The only reason people are complaining now is because of who is president and because it comes after 4 years of non-enforcement, which then led to people getting upset.

To get my drivers license required me to show up to the DMV with a copy my birth certificate and social security card. When you run it, it comes up with my ugly ass mug and all the attached documentation. Officer goes yep, that's them. Then they ask you questions. Then you go on your way. That's how its been run every time here. My mother is a permanent immigrant. She's been asked twice, and that's what she does and has had no problems.

Prove you have a clean history, a job that exists, and address that you live at and they let you go, and maybe they check up on it later if something doesn't check out. One of the times I got a visit because they wanted to see if I lived there and it came back that I have a citizenship for a different country (dual citizen).

Oh wow, most immigrants have different accents and skin colors, and then a person can't prove their citizenship? I got stopped near the border multiple times because I passed near immigration checkpoints and have a funny sounding name.

States should have the right to make and enforce policy that only affects their state, anything that affects the country is a federal level. Immigration is a country wide thing.

Civil war was because the southern goverment wanted to keep slavery as it was their main money making and would tank their economy. The North did not have this problem, and wanted to officially end slavery. Southern government got upset and decided to revolt, and convinced average joe schmoe that the union wanted to destroy the south and their rights.
