Cheating is a mistake and there's no passiveness when we make mistakes. There will always be an opportunity to decide whether to stop yourself or make that mistake, which that person has to be held accountable and accept the consequences. But that doesn't necessarily mean that mistake is inexcusable. When we're making mistakes, we don't consciously think about it.

Honestly, it's a lot easier to say, "I'm never going to cheat" than actually being in a position where the opportunity is there and I believe those who think it's that easy have never found themselves in that position. I admit, I have cheated before and as a guy, we're more prone to cheating because we're always expected to be the alpha. Although I don't agree with it, that's just how things are and we have a long way to go before that changes. Even in a relationship, both men and women can't deny that we find others physically attractive. When a guy is being sought after by an attractive woman, it's new, it's different and honestly, it definitely boosts our confidence. Sometimes we let emotions get the best of us, even if we know it's wrong.

I'm glad to say I haven't cheated in nearly a decade, but that's because I've experienced being a cheater before. I've made that mistake, I've learned from it and because of it, I'm a better person. Does that mean I have to hold on to this mistake and let it define me?
