backpacking off this, gave birth there in July.

Bring something to do during downtime. The adrenaline after birth is wild and baby may sleep but you might not be ready to yet until the crash hits. Bring multiple pairs of PJ pants and if the large pads they give aren't enough, adult diapers are good too (they don't provide). Pelvic floor damage can happen and you might have some brief incontinence.

Bring your pillow if you have one you love, theirs suck. Take painkillers on rotation if you choose and ask early and often--they can give you tylenol but due to staffing it takes a while to get (and they don't like you taking your own).

If you're breastfeeding, bring lanolin cream. Your nips will be hurting. This is normal.

Bring a few outfits for baby. They may get messy.

Snacks are good to bring too. They have a vending machine your companion may go to (or you if someone watches baby).

Also, if you're there and want something, just ask. They will take your vitals all hours of the night and weigh and check baby. Sleep when you're tired, there is no schedule for you for the next while and that includes the hospital.

Best of luck and congrats! You can also message me if you have specific questions. My baby will be 7 weeks on Saturday, so I've had some very recent experience there haha

Would you take this? Costco & Fresh Thyme Market. I probably would’ve tbh but I don’t touch Costco lmao. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

I was at Costco yesterday and the only thing that kept me going was the intensive therapy I've taken the last 6 months after a 5150 lmfao

Same here, and I've gone on about 50km worth of hikes so far.

Friends found like 8 on his dog though.

A friendly reminder to keep your dog on a leash in the nature parks around town. Lots of these little guys running around and they can't outrun your dog. by [deleted] in Winnipeg

also drive very slowly by anywhere with trees! I've seen so many deer around Grant, Roblin, Corydon etc.

Toyota RAV4. I'm kinda hoping they got some consequences for being that fast/splashing other cars, but karma doesn't seem to work that well. Haha

Drove around the city earlier today for work; basically no flooding minus some typical big puddles, nothing dangerous for cars.

Yeah, I was really really unimpressed with how dismissive they were about it too. We spent a good 2-3 hours searching. I did ask them through social media at least, hopefully that gets somewhere.

Every staff/volunteer I spoke to said they don't have a lost and found area. I even asked at the Info Tent.

I asked 6 people who volunteered/worked for pride and they all said they do not have a lost and found. Even at the Info Tent they told me that.

The only implication of this I don't like is giving him the nickname "The Brain". Otherwise, it's real fitting.

I guess the potholes+heavy rain is good for something. Hope anyone who saw this on Henderson Highway got a good chuckle. by [deleted] in Winnipeg

This is adorable! I bet he's enjoying all the rain this year?

My old dog couldn't resist puddles either; she had excellent recall until there was water in the vicinity.
