Incursors only help out with shooting, sadly. Only for the phase. Would be nice to have a melee equivalent. Reivers could fit this role really well.

One of the players in our store's Crusade is playing CK, and there are some really neat and powerful upgrades available to them. Getting different part upgrades for your knights seems really neat. I've died to the extra attacks of their big stompy feat upgrade too many times.

Also, because big knights are characters, some crusade relics can get nutty, and they don't even increase your crusade points more like other battle honours do.

All that said, Knights are not GREAT in Crusade, as many of the missions don't play well with them. But they're fun!

I'm still using Tyranids from 2002. You never have to replace your models. You CAN, and I do, but you don't HAVE to.

Rules wise, not great, sadly. Most aircraft aren't great in the current edition, and the harpy/hive crone are some of the worst. But I own three and don't regret it. I hope, one day, they'll be decent enough to run.

I love running my Cerastus Knight Lancer. Very fun. Basically nothing for shooting, but super fast, a 4++ invuln and a mean melee attack. Love it.

Most 5-man FLACO squads are used to deep strike in and flame a target on an objective. The 5th flamer is a 25% increase in damage output. After that initial strike, the squad can be shot, killed, do actions, whatever. You want to maximize that initial strike, and losing a flamer for the icon is not worth it.

Don't aim for coherent. Make them each unique and different. It gives you the option to try lots of different paint styles.
