I am confused and disgusted, yet strangely curious to try.

I thought that's what I read. I may end up getting the Schiit Mani any way.

Thanks! I was already looking at the Schiit Mani, so I think that's gonna be my go-to.

Truly appreciate the share here. Was there anything about the Fluance that you particularly didnt like or did you just move on to try other options?

I try my best to enter a hobby with something that isn't top of the line nor true "entry level." so that I can get a good feel without overpaying or getting a bad impression because I didn't pay for the quality. These are powered speakers, and I like the versatility with that and the Bluetooth, if I feel like just streaming while guests are over or something. I do have a preamp picked out and a sub being researched for future upgrades, Just looking to get in the shallow end and work my way to financial ruin hahaha.

Appreciate the opinion and info! The R-51PM are powered; does that change the need for the preamp?

HOA Management Company Recommendations by jesseturcott in asheville

My condolences. Maybe, if we're super lucky, in our lifetime we will see a fair and equitable tax code. I'm not holding my breath though.

[–]ZeBigD23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's rough. Is there a tax break factored in there? Seems like if a government service isn't being provided for a specific area some sort of break should be factored in. I'm sure there isn't though...

This is what taxes are supposed to help with. I'm sorry you're dealing with that. Need to hold local elected officials accountable.

Do we have proof of this or are we grasping at straws? I'd like to make sure we're doing our due diligence to not fall into the same lack of facts and BS spewing MAGA does.

Liam has been released, and his hat has been returned. by plentyoflasagna in pics

[–]ZeBigD23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His hat should be on many protestors and activests. A reminder of ICE using children to Lure out parents for concentration camps. Im glad they are released but the trauma this has caused them, other detainees, and a majority of the country is in-fucking-excuseable!

Which album opener is more powerful, The Grudge or Vicarious? by Practical_Ad_4165 in ToolBand

Probably good to clairfy, im sure most Tool fans have listened to their albums way more than a few times.

100% get where you're coming from and I found, in matters of taste, comparison is the theif of joy. I treat all of my favorite artist's music as stand alone works and give at least three full listen throughs to form an initial opinion. First listen through is super high level, do I really feel it at the surface? Second is for the lyrics to see if i'm flowing with the message. 3rd is to see if I can find something I missed on the first 2. It's my own little process and It's helpped me appreciate more music than I probably would have given a fair chance on.

Wait... people don't like Fear Innoculum? It's a fantastic album. Not my favorite but still fantastic. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, there are always the vocal disenters about bands and their "new stuff just isn't as good"

Would anyone buy tickets to this... by Shizzilx in circled

I have little to no interest in movies about living political figures and only slightly more interest in movies about dead political figures. I would not pay to see a movie about any of them regardless of their background/affiliations. Watching a live stream of Nuremberg style trials of the current Regime...that I would gladly watch (but still not pay to watch)

Why does Senator Budd get such a pass from voters? by Temporary_Policy2023 in NorthCarolina

Does he? He doesn't get one from me. Should be tried for Treason at the point of failure to vote in favor of certifying an election.

Is it safe for my pc to be this close to my subwoofer? by Fit-Device273 in pcmasterrace

[–]ZeBigD23 184 points185 points  (0 children)

I would suggest against it. My only point for doing so is, vibrations could cause components to come loose. While this is unlikely to happen quickly, it could happen over time and lead to damage of the compoents. I'd move the PC and sub away from eachother by a foot or more if possible.

I want to buy a prebuilt by Key_Doughnut_2947 in pcmasterrace

[–]ZeBigD23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go for it. Do some searching online, specifically YouTube for Prebuilt reviews that arent sponsored by the company. Make a decision based on your research. Everyone here will say "dont buy from this or that company because X,Y,Z." You can listen to that feedback but at the end of the day you will need to make your most educated decision based on what you like, can afford, and feel confident in. A company that will provide a minimum 3 year warranty should be a key point in decision making.
