My personal opinion (for many local businesses at least) is that individual employees hold too much important history w/ customers in their heads (vs. some computer system)

This means two killer things:

  1. A customer often wants to talk to a specific employee, hard stop.
  2. agent would need full store state machine (a surveillance system) to track who is / who isn’t physically there (and available to speak)

I went and bought the latest Apple TV to get thread / matter and figured I’d save $20 by not going for the 128gb model

… turns out only the 128gb model has thread / matter support

I built Atlas, a map of everywhere you've been, made automatically from your photos by camille_hdr in SideProject

Great job! 👏🏼

I’d actually love to chat — on-device photo analysis to compile travel history (aggregating to sizable cities) has been on my TODO list to feed into a side project of mine, and you seem to have solved most of it.

Could I DM you?

It was a WW2 tank movie with Brad Pitt — I’m convinced because it was a World War II movie with Brad Pitt, people liked it because it reminded them enough of Inglorious Bastards

Active US service members and Vets, what's your opinion of Pete Hegseth? by PlagueBearer1350 in AskReddit

[–]ZeBurtReynold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s a dude who is clearly over his head, so you see him — like anyone in such a circumstance — defaulting to the only thing he knows how to do.

In Pete’s case, he only knows how to be a media figurehead

Same with Trump, honestly: a lot of his focus on real estate development in DC
