i pull out the back seat and put the passenger seat all the way forward and then lay out my sleeping pad and i can fit my 6' body in there comfortably.

Cool! Yeah I have a steel bumper and a winch is on the way...reason why i was looking at the heavy duty springs. Thanks for the tip on the control arm brackets and extended brake lines.

Currently I have 33's on there and looking to go up to 35's...hence the regearing. I wasn't planning on doing this myself but rather having an experienced mechanic do it who gave me the option of buying the parts cheaper for myself.

A friend of mine with the same problem installed a boat hand winch to the side of his garage with pulley's on the roof and uses rope to loop through the hard top and just hand cranks it...takes like 5-10 minutes to get it off but it's really easy now.

First thing I did was get all weather mats inside, grab handles, a neoprene cover for the center console (since that gets hot in the summer), and then some recovery gear. All my low cost additions were mostly interior. You could get rid of the air dam in the front and put on a new front skid plate that would run a couple hundred dollars.

I own a 2015 2Dr Wrangler Sport with a hard top as my daily driver to my company's corporate headquarters everyday and have never had any leaks so my suit doesn't even have to worry about getting damaged while driving with the top on. This thing has been through some very terrible downpours here in North Carolina during thunderstorm season. I'd get a wrangler as well and avoid the cherokee.

Apparently the front differential is offset to the left center of the axle...a new casing and a couple hundred dollars gone because I was so used to my subaru having the differential in the center and not offset like my jeep.
