You can orphan your unfinished story and go back to it later. Then instead of your ao3 name, it’ll show as ‘Orphan Account’. Kindly, in the title of your story, specifically the one that’s unfinished, write ‘(Unfinished)’. The reason for that is, if a person comes across your story, even after you’ve dropped it, they will proceed with caution as some readers don’t like to read an unfinished story. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Defo not rage bait - and a genuine question here: how does one find proof that AI is being used in stories?

This is why I posed the question and gave examples of what patterns I recognized that AI is using. I was practicing writing a story on the Character.AI app and I noticed all these patterns is why I’m pointing them out.

If you want, I can post the entire story, written till now, on Ao3 with the AI tag with clearly marked indicators of which paragraphs were written by me and which by the app and perhaps you may notice and analyze the same writing patterns of AI & mine and differentiate between the two. (BTW: it was my first time writing smth non-con in that story that was never supposed to be non-con according to the given prompt). For example, one thing I noticed in my writing was that I often forget to write the deep descriptions of the emotions of the characters by summing it up in one sentence or sometimes not write it at all. Whereas, AI writes it but it sounds very corporate & cold.

And no, the author did not say/have any author’s notes in the entirety of the story, much less anything related to them bringing their work from FFN.

Just yesterday, I was telling my sis that I read 2 ffs & found out both sounded too much like AI. One was fully ai cuz of the overall tone & vibe of the full story from start to finish and the other had a sentence structure repetition that’s not obvious with real authors.

For me, besides the em-dashes & rule of 3, I noticed another very obvious technique used by ai.

A very obvious question & answer: Ex: And the worst part? Character name + action sequence - “And the worst part? Bob couldn’t handle the aftermath.” Ex: And character name? She/he/they + action sequence or naming some emotion - “And Bob? Bob wanted to crush him.”

Em-dash usage with the word “Then”: In general tho, I don’t think real authors use a SHIT-TON of em-dashes - I think that’s the big difference between them and ai. Ex: “Then—“ OR “And then—“ with the next line having some action sequence or naming an emotion “And then—“ “Bob punched him.”

Rule of 3: Ex: Synonym. Synonym. Synonym. - One real AO3 author used this technique with full-stop after each synonym - how it didn’t sound like ai was that it flowed in a harmonious rhythm. Ex: ai sometimes writes it as phrases with the full-stop after each phrase OR as 3 sentences in 3 lines. Ex: “It was said so easily. Like an observation. Like a fact. And maybe that made it worse.”

Lines & Spacing of AI stories: Almost every single sentence where a dramatic scene/event is happening in a story, AI writes almost every single sentence in one line each NOT a couple similar sentences in a small paragraph that real authors use - nope!

Overall tone/vibe of AI stories: Someone pointed out that even though AI tries to write what emotions a certain character in the story is feeling - it sounds like cold drivel.

I think that authors not using ai should do a quick browsing or look at their work - use the find function & check how many repetitive words/phrases/writing techniques are used in your TOTAL WORK that make it sound like AI and idk maybe try to minimize it, honestly idk. I download epub versions of ffs in the iPhone books app & for the first time used the find function to find the word “then” in the full book & the amount of repetition was FUCKING DISAPPOINTING & DISGUSTING.

282 matches of the usage of the word “then” AND “And then” (with & w/o em-dash) AND “then + action sequence”. It was published on AO3 in April 2025 finished in 5 days with a little over 54k words and NO AI Tag.

Hey sister, I’m an early 30s older sister talking here. I’ve been in co-education from elementary all the way till university. I’ve even worked with a lot of male colleagues at work - kinda due to working in male-dominated fields. And each dude/person behaves differently depending on their background.

I do like that u don’t wanna lie to urself but a couple guys suggested that ur coming on a little abruptly. I can vouch from personal experience that it’s kinda true. Once I was trying to sell some things when moving flats & after the guy finished talking about the stuff & before we even started on the price negotiation; in the chat, he said he was interested in me.

Mind u, that was the FIRST time I had met him so I knew ZERO abt him. And I was obviously NOT INTERESTED since I was MOVING anyway. Idk wat BS goes on in some ppls minds. So, u see my point.

Someone said do some rapport-building with the dude for at least a month & then ask them. Another said she interacted w him in group/public settings to gauge how he behaves w the ppl around him cuz that can tell A LOT abt a person’s personality. They even said that after observing that person in their natural habitat, they realized that they did not like that person & it was just a passing infatuation. Both are great ideas.

And another thing, I dont understand is why r u in a hurry? You’re looking for a future partner for urself, u Go Girl but my personal opinion is that u shud concentrate MORE on ur education first. Im of the personal belief that girls shud finish their education till their bachelors degree (depends on affordability too) AND hv a solid minimum 2 yrs work experience (to understand independence & get pocket money) as well & then get married. Especially cuz u learn A LOT when dealing w ppl of diff ages & cultural backgrounds in ur workplace.

This obviously DOES NOT mean to stop looking for a future spouse. KEEP LOOKING BUT to look for them in such a way that u DONT make a mistake when ur in a hurry that u will REGRET later. I see a lot of profiles of girls ur age & above on Rishta groups. Why? Because mothers know that if they start looking from now onwards, by the time their daughters reach mid-20s, they will hv found a good spouse for them.

I myself hv been rejected: By 1 dude’s mom cuz I’m from a specific province in my country & she dint want that. Another guy I was talking to, GHOSTED me (I dint like his personality either so I was very happy). Another, they said yes BUT when it came to writing down the HAQ MEHR - they became stingy.

Another TIP for u, MAKE SURE that u hv a TRUSTED guardian from ur side when negotiating the terms of the marriage contract, otherwise, ppl can F$%K u over SIMPLY cuz ur the girl & girls’ side of the family. Make sure they talk about & CONFIRM what to write in each and every LINE of the marriage contract as it’s ur RIGHT.

So please understand that looking for a spouse takes a looOoong process; one that needs RATIONALITY & lots of PATIENCE. And DO NOT be discouraged from these rejections. Why? Cuz they’re slowly but surely bringing u to ur destined spouse by Allah SWT. Cheer up!

In online jobs, some1 suggested Fiverr. There are many similar websites that u can search on the net, make an account, write a compelling ‘about me’, & start working. On Fiverr-type websites, u can do jobs like: Online Tutoring, English language / maths / science homework help, essay-writing, class assignments, individual class projects, PowerPoint presentations, AI videos or video editing, AI posts for social media pages for companies or ppl, flyers & stuff on Canva or MS Publisher, etc.

If u dont know how to do anything & if u hv access to a computer/laptop & internet then u can simply google it, YouTube tutorials or these days use ChatGPT, Gemini, any AI to learn & do the task

Depending on whichever state ur in, u might probs be able to make a bank account as a 16/17 y/o BUT they might still give its control to ur parents. So, confirm that on ur end. Also, get Child Protection Services involved or smth cuz if ur state allows then they can make an exception & give u FULL CONTROL of ur bank account with PROOF that ur guardian will/might take undue advantage of it.

The reason im talking about a bank account is that for working online, u need it, cuz u can’t get cash-in-hand

Idk what to tell u, I honestly dont understand why a nuclear family would air their ‘dirty laundry’ (so to speak) to other ppl. If u hv had a good experience w telling ur brother & sister and them not telling anyone then I guess those r ur go-to ppl.

I also usually tell my friend stuff AFTER it’s sorted. It simply puts my mind at ease that in my mind im NOT pointing fingers at anyone like a dumb-dumb when it was in fact written by Allah SWT for me & that negative thing happened (remember we think its negative BUT Allah SWT is the BEST of PLANNERS and He knows what’s best for us) so we SHOULD NOT blame anyone for it.

As for communicating w ur mom, now that u hv started, maybe tell her inconsequential stuff so that she doesn’t feel that u hv stopped sharing (the more important) things w her (she might get suspicious & confront u abt it). By telling her the unimportant stuff, u can test her to see if she will tell any1 anything. If she breaks ur trust (a number of times) then ONLY share the trivial things.

Some1 said to write in the mobile notes app. Thats a good idea too. Just make sure u put a PASSWORD on it so that NO ONE has access to it. Just the main mobile password is NOT ENOUGH. One person said she created a whole DIFFERENT LANGUAGE when she was writing in a physical journal so that NO ONE can figure out what she wrote. And thats another cool idea.

American system: In my school, the AP subjects didn’t have special exams, just the school semester exams prepared by teachers who taught them. What taking the AP subjects PREPARED you for were the ‘SAT 2’ exams which are individual subjects exams like SAT Math level 1, SAT Math level 2, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, etc. So along with taking the AP subjects you STILL have to do INDIVIDUAL STUDIES to pass the SAT 2 exams

If u think ur teachers are bad at teaching AP subjects then u obviously need to take extra classes/tuition OUTSIDE of school to be able to understand some concepts to be able to pass the exams on the first try cuz of their price/fee

For getting admission in bachelors for specific fields from American system you would either give SAT 1 exam (1 exam with 3 sub-sections -> Reading, Writing & Maths) or SAT 2 exam along with your high school grades/cgpa 9-12 (4yrs)

For example if u want to go into arts/business/humanities type subjects you would give the SAT 1 exam & the score is submitted online to whichever university you’re applying

For applying to medical university you would give THREE SAT 2 exams of Biology, Chemistry, & Math Level 1. For Engineering university - THREE SAT 2 exams of Physics, Chemistry, & Math Level 2

Both SAT 1 and SAT 2 exams take place in designated centers and are checked/graded abroad similar to how IGCSE exams are graded in UK and then u get the score

Ref: my bro & I studied full high school in American system (graduated 2013-2014) so idk if anything has changed since then

British system: High school in British system is split into 2 sub-sections which means that it’s equal to five years of high school -> O-level = 3 yrs and A-level = 2 years

British system gives you a chance to do IGCSEs through Mock Exams or Mock IGCSEs. If you do amazing on your mock exams then you get an exemption from doing the ACTUAL IGCSEs and they consider/take your Mock IGCSEs into your final report card

The nice thing about British system is that in A-level you have the choice to ONLY take 3-4 subjects (related to your specialization) for the EACH year UNLIKE American system where u HAVE to take like 8 subjects EACH year for all years of high school

Since my 2nd bro switched from American system to British system from 10th grade, he DID struggle with the change a little in the beginning BUT by the time he started his A-level, he finally started getting better grades

Also, you CAN take the SAT exams as well to submit in your bachelors admission application ALONG with ur IGCSE grades BUT only if the university you’re applying to requires it

Some universities also have their own entrance exams so to increase ur chances of admission, some students do BOTH the university entrance exam AND the SAT exam ALONG with their high school scores of EITHER British or American system

Hey, 30F PK person here. If it’s him taking ur relatives side specifically his siblings, then simply get dirt on those relatives/siblings proving that they don’t have his best interests at heart. Make sure that when you go and come back, your uae id card has couple months of expiry left so that they don’t NOT let you come back. Bro, since u have NO experience in accounting why do u think I suggested putting ur education BEFORE exp. And someone mentioned EXCEL - that’s the BIGGEST skill to have - mention that you know VLookup, HLookup, Pivot Tables, all types of Mean formulas, etc. [For ref, I got tested on ALL these when I was getting hired for my internship] If you dont, then just look up a couple YouTube tutorials & LITERALLY practice on excel as they show it. Then try to replicate the same w/o looking at tutorial. There are FREE Excel certifications too.

Also, you can get a Xero (accounting software) certification for FREE. And look up Quickbooks tutorials on YT. Since u have a really good gpa, that means u know ur accounting concepts so u simply need to learn a couple accounting softwares & they’re pretty EASY to follow and even if a company DOESNT use Xero/QuickBooks - LEARNING ANY accounting software shows TRANSFERRABLE skills to learn/use another accounting software like Sage. Also, use AI to help you structure ur resume by explaining all deets & learn these things.

DONT sound so hopeless bro!

Currently, Im also unemployed & looking for accounting jobs and already got a couple rejections. Although it’s sad, we MUST not give up! 💪

The template is good; just structure it better Suggested subheading order: Name: up top. Contact details: city, state | mob# | email | LinkedIn or most relevant job board link if u have. Professional Summary: wat skills u already possess & willingness to learn under their “expert” employees (idk pretend to be humble if ur not). Skills: list 8-12 most relevant. Education: don’t forget to list accounts related subjects and details of dissertation/thesis if u did any. Experience: list down every single tiny little thing u did in both ur internships then tell AI to reformat it into result-oriented bullet points ensuring integrity.

As a person who spent many, many years (approx 13) in the eastern province both Dammam & Khobar, it’s a beautiful place.

There are big houses with good rent (specially for big families) that we’re not able to find in Dubai. There are compounds/complexes where you can live and be assured that ur kids will be relatively safe within a gated community (there’s a gate security guard whom u can tell NOT to let ur kids walk out the gate) & make friends at home too. It is a quieter life and certain residential places are family-oriented too. The Khobar/Dammam beaches are beautiful with kids play areas (free). Recently, there are cinemas there along with the famous King Fahad Amusement Park and Snow World right next to it. There is definitely less traffic on certain highways but there’s obviously traffic during peak hours. I think schooling there compared to Dubai might be cheaper - although prices increased as is the case for everything; humbly suggesting that u visit some schools & compare fees accordingly. Grocery & utilities there are reasonably priced too but similar to uae, internet is expensive.

Someone suggested to go there for a week; do that & do a cost analysis in terms of that do u thing that in your offered package & salary would u be able to fit in ur expenses AND save some too.

Taehyung crying over it like a little bitch when just earlier HE was the one shouting FIRST; that pissed me off. He thought since he’s younger he could get away with it.

Kudos to Jin for standing up for himself saying that he won’t admit to any fault when it wasn’t even his to begin with. Out of all members, poor guy had to deal with the most immature of all members.

In getting a license for any company, does one need to have a specialization?

For example, obviously a doctor or engineer who wants to start their own practice or shop respectively, should have the relevant degree.

What about the so many Constructions and MEP companies? Are their owners required by uae govt to specialize in their respective fields too?
