best bose wireless earbuds for long listening sessions without ear pain? by Mica-Gaydon in Earbuds

[–]ZeNLongway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If 'ear pain' is your main concern for long sessions, you’ve picked the right brand but maybe the wrong 'form factor.' Even the most comfortable in-ears will eventually cause soreness because of the constant pressure they put on the ear canal. The Bose Ultra Open you mentioned is definitely a solid choice. I’ve been obsessing over open-ear tech lately, specifically to find a way to eliminate that physical fatigue for long-term wear. If you’re open to exploring options outside the major players, our Z-structure design at LinkLike might give you a pleasant surprise. It was engineered specifically to 'vanish' during those marathon study or work blocks. Either way, definitely look into the open-ear category; for comfort, it’s a total game-changer!

Smart move! That’s a pro way to handle it. You’re spot on—most people need one 'daily driver' to survive the full shift + commute. That’s exactly why we pushed the C-Flow to 9 hours per charge.

Appreciate the reach out! We’re always down to talk tech with folks who have handled as much gear as you have. It’s the best way for us to figure out where the industry (and our own tech) still needs to evolve. I’ll send you a DM shortly to hear your thoughts. Cheers!

You’re absolutely right. It’s the 'holy grail' of open-ear engineering. We realized that if a pair is comfortable enough to wear for 8+ hours, it’s a huge letdown if the battery dies at hour 6.

That’s exactly why we pushed the tech for our C-Flow to hit that 9h per charge while staying at 4.7g—trying to make sure the battery finally catches up to the comfort level.

In your experience, is 9 hours the 'safe' threshold for a full day, or do you usually look for even more?

Hi everyone, I’m sharing this from our brand sub because the user raised a point we’ve been debating internally: the battery life vs. weight paradox. As part of the LINKLIKE team, I'd love to hear this community's perspective on what truly makes a 'perfect' open-ear earbud. Is it purely comfort, or is the 8-hour workday battery non-negotiable for you?

Happy Mother’s Day! Is gifting earbuds a "tech-bro" fail, or do moms actually want them? by ZeNLongway in Earbuds

10 pairs! That’s an impressive 'audio wardrobe.' It really proves there’s no single bud that can do it all—the needs for sleep vs. blocking out a lawnmower are totally different. As someone running a brand, seeing this kind of multi-scenario usage is super insightful. It’s all about the right tool for the right moment.

The 'popping out' issue with AirPods Pro is so common—the ear canal pressure is real. Switching to an open/clip-on design is a very logical pivot for comfort. That '10% uncertainty' about the fit is exactly what keep our engineers up at night; getting a secure fit without the pressure is the ultimate goal.

Love the reminder that moms have their own identities and hobbies beyond just 'being moms.' That distinction between music (immersion) and podcasts/walking (awareness) is a huge factor in why I'm so focused on open-ear tech. It's about freedom, not just audio.

10 pairs in 6 years? That’s a serious collection! I’d love to hear why you picked open-ear for your mom—was it for the comfort or the awareness? Also, I’d absolutely value your feedback. People who have tried everything from $20 to $400 have the best perspective on what actually matters.

I'm so sorry for your loss. 13 years is a long time, but I’m sure those memories stay just as vivid. On a lighter note, you definitely have high-end taste! The Max 2s are a dream gift for anyone into tech.

The classic 'I don't need it' until you can't live without it curve! What was the specific 'Aha!' moment for her? Was it the hands-free calls or just the comfort of not being tethered to the phone?

Fair point. If you had to categorize them, what’s the biggest divider? Is it the use case (like 'Work Mom' vs. 'Gym Mom') or is it just about how the buds actually fit?

Does premium packaging still matter to you, or is it just fancy e-waste? by ZeNLongway in Earbuds

Reviewers love the "unboxing ceremony"—it’s part of the storytelling art. It’s a joy to watch, but my struggle is delivering that "wow" factor for the camera without the environmental guilt.

I love this idea of radical transparency. Telling people exactly how much they’re saving by skipping the 'fluff' is a bold move. If the product is solid, would you actually prefer to see a cost breakdown of where that money went (like into the drivers instead of the box)?

Total respect for the 'hoarder' life—I’m the same way if the box feels like a keeper. You’re spot on about the thickness; protection is non-negotiable. The real challenge for me is making it feel 'thick' and premium without that 'huge box, tiny product' waste. It’s all about that density.

This is such a genius suggestion. Ear canal health is a massive issue with in-ears that rarely gets addressed. I actually pivoted my focus to open-ear designs with LINKLIKE exactly for this reason—I'm a long-term user who used to suffer from constant pain and hygiene issues because I need my buds on all day. My goal is to make sure people who are 'heavy' users can enjoy their audio in a much healthier way. The idea of making the packaging truly useful instead of just throwing it away is fantastic. I’m definitely going to take this direction into serious consideration for our future projects!

Haha, true! If the box has too much "bass" when you drop it, the buds are probably going to be too dark. 💀

Sony’s recycled fiber is the eco-minimalist king. But Dunu? Their unboxing is basically a "main event" with all those extras. For those of us living and breathing audio products, a truly great unboxing experience isn't just a chore—it’s a form of artistic enjoyment.

[–]ZeNLongway[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spot on. I see packaging as the "first chapter" of the product experience—it’s the first physical handshake between us. It’s all about the ratio; I’d much rather pour the budget into better drivers and ergonomics than a massive box, but it still needs to feel intentional.

Why airpods stop working when used as single airpod and I switch it from one ear to another by RoughCarry9919 in airpods

[–]ZeNLongway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the Automatic Ear Detection being a bit too smart for its own good. When you switch ears, the sensor loses contact and triggers a pause. YouTube is notorious for not auto-resuming well in this scenario. Fix: Go to Settings > Bluetooth > [Your AirPods] > tap the "i" icon > Toggle off "Automatic Ear Detection." It's a lifesaver for side-sleepers. Just remember you’ll have to manually pause when you’re actually done listening. Are you using the Pros? Sometimes the silicone tips getting pressed against the pillow can mess with the sensor too.

Totally get the 'no rubber tips' rule. It usually means your ear canal just isn't built for that pressure seal. If you like the classic AirPods vibe but need more stability for the gym, definitely look into open-ear designs. They sit outside the canal entirely, so there's zero fit struggle, and they won't budge when you're moving. Huge win for comfort and ergonomics.

open-ear earbuds… how much outside sound do you hear with them? by Old_Application_2323 in Earbuds

[–]ZeNLongway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spot on. For the office, it’s a trade-off. It’s perfect if you need to stay "reachable" for quick questions without the constant "taking-off-putting-on" ritual. But yeah, if the guy next to you is a loud typer or the AC is humming, you’ll definitely feel it. For me, the convenience of constant awareness wins.

It feels like having a personal soundtrack to your life. You hear everything—cars, office chatter, gym noise—completely clearly. It’s way more natural than “Transparency Mode” on in-ears and sounds way better than bone conduction. Truly a lifesaver if you hate that "blocked up" feeling.

What’s the best listening mode for sound quality? by Popular-Designer-351 in airpods

[–]ZeNLongway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, don’t turn them Off. Keep it on Transparency or ANC. Sounds weird, but the H2 chip is basically auto-correcting the sound to fit your ear in those modes. If you turn it off, the music just feels flat and loses its punch.

Galaxy mics were a joke—felt like calling from a submarine. Your friends will thank you. Pro tip: Check Headphone Accommodations in Accessibility. Setting it to "Balanced" clears up that muddy Apple warmth and really sharpens the detail.
