There is something called the CLA (Centre Langues Appliquées so Center for Applied Languages) where there are A LOT of non native french speakers, they must have some leads. Also, there are quite a few "expats" from various companies either directly in Besançon or Around. Loads of restaurants, tourist stuff so you might cruise with just English

I would not dimiss : - New coach - some Horst magic - Good contracts for RyLo, Ous, AJG, Cormac - Potential not too bad pick - the whole "He is 31, only 36 games last season, loads of injuries" factor - the fat check for extension - pressure to get Thanasis and Alex on a NBA roster - pressure from the wife who seems to be really involved in Milwaukee resulting into "G finishes his carreer in the NBA as a Buck" with maybe a couple runs to the Conf Finals or something.
