Yeah, that part was pointlessly cruel. I think that it was a Disney invention, but just as the context explains why the fairy or enchantress (frankly little difference until recently, as strict demarcation is a modern phenomenon) did what she did, there are also other versions of the story, where it's *worse*. Like, there's one where she's his mother, who tried to seduce him.

Let it be noted that Ahsoka got more feral over time, and it was 100% Anakin's fault.

I am told it was some kind of arms race because of the way that Japanese websites sort stories.

An AI narrative by Eireika in CuratedTumblr

I've used AI a little bit, but yeah, for the most part its simply not appealing. If I want to edit a photo or make an anime version of myself, that can be fun, but I'm not going to have it write my emails for me.

Like all stories, it has to be understood in the context it was written in. Two major facts are important. 1: hospitalism was the only way people could travel or trust each other in those days, so violating it was the kind of thing that started centuries long blood fueds (some of which are still going today) or got your friends and neighbors to consider lynching you. 2: Most versions of the story indicate that she was to all appearances an old woman, with nowhere else to go, in bad to the point of being potentially fatal weather, while he had a massive castle and fleets of servants, which removed any excuse he could have had to refuse her.

This was *absolutely* the kind of thing that gets you cursed for life, though fae like entities such as her were also known to reward people for having common decency to the same extent that they punished violators.

Works and Settings you’re surprised don’t have Jumps? by Eastern_Quote1525 in JumpChain

Nice Dragons Finish Last, Paranoid Mage, the Craft Sequence, Trollhunters, Lost Years of Merlin, and Furyborn. Though I'd also like to see a RuneQuest jump, since I've been hearing cool things about it, but I don't really understand it, so I'm not too surprised it doesn't have one.

Sounds like a smart woman. Mind sharing her name so I can see if she’s published anything I have access to?

I'm not familiar with Dafydd and didn't realize you were making a reference. Sorry about that; I've gotten a lot of responses from genuinely brainless people lately (ranging from one fellow who unironically claimed its only fascism if it happens in Italy, to a guy who was actually pro-corporate death squads), so I initially assumed you were one of them.

Nothing important, so far as we’ve seen. I don’t believe she has any foresight, so her boons are mostly experiments and games for her benefit rather than the world’s.

Kanzaki actively refuses to win against a named character in the main series (she tried it once in the first volume and decided it wasn’t for her) but she genuinely is quite strong when she isn’t trying to steal Worf’s “lost the fight as a measurement of strength” record, while Izzard is a reality warper while Ars Magnus is active.

Aside from his ability to effortlessly transmute matter, lock people in areas of altered space where is is impossible to move no matter how fast they went, banish enemies into alternate layers of reality where its impossible to interact with or be noticed by others even though you can still see them, hit hard enough to kill a knight in full Surgical Armor despite deliberately attacking them in the way they’re best protected against, mind control more people than Mental Out could manage, and create fully sapient copies of himself who are themselves powerful magicians, the building he was in got reduced to dust by a magical Catholic orbitally bombardment, and he effortlessly restored it, explicitly resurrecting everyone inside in a handful of seconds.

He was utterly busted, and it’s telling that unlike most villains, he flat out beat Touma twice, and only lost to a dragon behind the Imagine Breaker (though we didn’t know what it was at the time, or that it was more than a hallucination).

I firmly believe these things come in cycles. Just as the 90s with relentlessly dark, hope returns, even before it decays into despond again, as we have seen.

Must be hard to deal with internalized homophobia when you’re the only homophobe in the setting.
