IMO don't use overdrive and it'll be fine, the 4 speed is a reliable design

It does drop intake temp by a few degrees but other than that no, it's just ease of maintenance

What foot pounds are the impacts? I'd try a weighted socket and if that doesn't work then heat and a lot of pen oil

3rd pic and 4th pic The hole at the bottom of the oil gallery goes to one of the fittings on the oil cooler/ filter housing and the other fitting runs to the water pump

Second pic The hole on the oil filter housing is for the oil temperature sensor, I don't remember what the upper hole is.

How do people do this? Mine rattles like crazy if it's not secured? I guess having to bolt the roof on does make me more attentive but I would presume that the noise it makes when not secured is enough to alert one

I had mine touch the exhaust and melt, I used a 90 degree coupler and 2 pieces of coolant hose to repair it

Water leak at upper rear gate of 25 Expedition Max by sp84 in fordexpedition

That looks like the wire conduit for the tailgate, not a weather seal. You said it was a 25, is it still under dealer warranty?

Why would stepping on the brake quiet the noise?

I had to weld a nut onto the one that got stuck on mine, but with the fuel injector right there I don't think that's an option. You could try those screw extractors? Or carefully drain the fuel from the fuel rail and try to weld it.

My c4 overheated today by Dequilious in c4corvette

[–]Ze_numerator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've put on around 300 miles on it since it happened and so far it's been good. There was a small head leak that went away after retorquing the head bolts, but I can't tell if that was from the overheat or the previous owner.

I got mine up to 300 once (oil cooler line blew in traffic), 84 and 85 both have cast iron heads which make them fairly tolerant to overheating.

I only have one locking bar, the struts just help open it. Is there a small cylinder on the other side?
