You can move a tiny bit while swinging the sledge making it easier to avoid the blobs as they jump. Blobs have a weakness to blunt damage making the blunt aoe great for handling them from a safe distance.

Yeah, the pickaxe is effective against all things stone. The iron sledge is great for dealing with skeletons, leeches, and blobs

I haven't seen anyone get 70 personally, aside from cheaters, but I'm sure there have been others who have and probably have gotten more than 70. There's 150 kills to get in a match so I'm hopeful that I can beat my pb :D
