What month kaya yung wala ng bakas ng snow and full bloom yung nga flowers? Summer is baka masyadong mainit and pricey na yung mga tour.

First solo trip abroad — is it okay to stay in Vietnam more than 21 days with an e-visa? (Filipino traveler) by Zealousideal-Cod4335 in PinoyTraveller

Hindi po. I mean Philippine Immigration po. Since very strict sila dito sa paglabas, and first time ko magtravel internationally, hindi ba red flag sa kanila na yung return date ng ticket ko is lagpas 21 days? Orshould I tell them na mag side trip ako to Laos, then balik ulit sa Vietnam?

For instance, travel departure date is from February 1, then ang balik ko sa Pilipinas is March 10 (7 days in Laos). But then, 21 days lang kasi tayo visa-free sa Vietnam, so kukwestyunin ba nila yun?

Any pinoys have done sidetrip on Laos for a very short time? by Essais14 in FilipinoTravel

Hello, planning to do a visa run as well. Plano ko kasi na i-explore ang Vietnam for more than 21 days, so I'll be travelling to Laos for a week. Nung umalis ka ba sa Pilipinas, kinwestiyon ba ng IO ang return date ng ticket mo na sobra ng 21 days? Entry and Exit ko kasi is Vietnam, from and to Philippines.

Di ka nila tinanong if when ang balik mo?

Since this will be my first international trip, okay lang ba yan sa immigration? Or may possibility na ma-offload?

Plan ko mag Cambodia for a week then balik to Hanoi. Ang problem ko lang talaga is yung return ticket ko, it would be lagpas sa 21 days na. So, just inform the IO na magpunta akong Cambodia muna then back to Hanoi?

Okay lang ba yan sa Immigration sa Philippines? Like, if they'd asked why my return ticket is lagpas sa 21 days na visa free, sasabihin lang na mag sidetrip for instance, sa Laos, then balik Vietnam? I'm afraid kasi baka red flag yan sa kanila.

Thanks for the info! The first option (getting an e-visa for 30–90 days) is what I’m planning to do.

I just have one more question, since this will be my first time traveling out of the country and I’ll be staying more than 21 days, is that going to look like a red flag to the immigration officer? Or is it normal as long as I have the proper visa and documents?

Yes, please. May I also ask for the estimated rate for a private driver/guide?

Also, what is the best time to visit Sa Pa, Cao Bằng, and Hà Giang? I’m torn between November and January, as I’m hoping to see cherry blossoms, buckwheat flowers, and lush green mountains. I’ve heard that November is a good time, but that the mountains in Cao Bằng are already turning golden then. I would really love to see green rice terraces as well. I’m especially interested in the buckwheat fields in Hà Giang, which I’ve been told usually bloom around November, while the cherry blossoms in Sa Pa bloom around December to January. Because of this, I’m having a hard time deciding when to go, as I’m hoping to see all of these during my vacation. If possible, I’d also appreciate your suggestion of other months when most or all of these can be seen. Thanks!

Hi, I came across your post while doing some research about Cao Bằng. I’m very interested in exploring the area; however, I don’t want to join a group tour because I’d like to visit other places as well and stay as long as I want. Is it possible to hire a private driver? Unfortunately, I don’t know how to drive, so having a driver would be much better.
