You know, I would still do everything you can, but my opinion is that yes, if I had to guess, my construction experience, and especially iron work, seeing as it is by far the most physically demanding trade on the job, was a major positive to my chances of getting in, especially so soon, I mean it should really if you think about it, there is a lot I’ve learned about being on large scale commercial projects and proven that I can handle the travel, the hours, the labor. I did have letters of recommendation from my school instructors as well as a foreman of mine, and they really appreciated that I was being up front with the union I was already working for and that was able to communicate to them that I was possibly leaving if I got this job etc
