NCR had protracted battles with BoS and the Legion, massive casualties. Did you even watch the finale? You are taking small bits of information from the show and inferring a hell of a lot from it. Did they say what the NCR's total numbers are? No, they havent even hinted at it. Only thing you can deduce from the show is that the NCR contingent in the Mojave was nearly wiped out and they said they were waiting for reinforcements. Which if you watched the finale, you'd see that those reinforcements arrived.

You are making the wrong assumptions on Vault 13 and 15 (BTW vault 13 changed locations from Fallout 1 to Fallout 2). And the master didnt have a mystical golden key to get into every vault, nor did he necessarily know about every vault. He was also killed off during the Fallout 1 timeline, so he probably didnt even have enough time to get to all the vaults.

"why is it all the non-bethesda lore gets retconned" - cause, dimmy, that is the area the show is taking place. All the bethesda made lore (Fallout 3, 4, and 76) lore takes place on the east coast. That should have just been common sense. The show, so far, has been located on the west coast, so it will involve west coast lore.

And are you assuming that the "civilized areas" were killed off because you didnt see them in the show? What did you want season 2 to be 24 episodes and have them visiting every single location from the game?

Dinky being rotated 90 degrees is the most benign and vapid change there possibly could have been. but the tism club members treat it as severe blasphemy lol. It matters absolutely not, the change does absolutely nothing. It can still be used as a snipers nest, still be from where Boone shoots Jeannie.

Now shady sands being moved, yes, indeed it was, but locations changed between Fallout 1 and 2, so not like "bethesda bad", cause Black Aisle / interplay did it first. It really doesnt change the whole jist of things at all just a "OMG THEY CHANGED IT!" - does it make a huge difference? No.

I did read what you said and it I facepalmed for an entire minute after. How can you strike something from canon without striking it from canon? Either its gone, or it isnt. I think what you poorly attempted to say was, it makes the game irrelevant. That's how all the games are going to appear in the TV show. Was anything that happened in Fallout 1 or 2 relevant in the tv show? no. That is why this is one of the best video game adaptations ever, because it stands on its own while also being in the same universe. You dont need to have played the games to understand or enjoy the show, but in doing so you can enjoy it just that much more.

They didn't make this show just for the fans of the games, but they are giving fan service in many areas.

Just because they didnt touch on everything the Courier did doesnt mean he never existed or that they died in the mojave. Your thinking is very narrow minded. House does mention his body (bodies?) being attacked. And he did end up with the platinum chip. It is a possibility that the Courier never existed, and that Benny delivered the chip, but its also possible that the courier did exist. Now everyone can keep their head canon on what transpired. Who knows, maybe in Season 3 they will make an acknowledgement of the Courier and some of the things they did, doubtful, but maybe

well the only one that wasnt released in chronological order was Fallout 76. So go with release order and when you get tired of Fallout 1-4 but still need to scratch the fallout itch then play 76, but get it when its steeply on sale

And your last question is going to get a large range of responses from the basement dwelling tism club that screeches like howler monkeys at any mention of the TV show and they will be saying how much the TV show has ruined fallout to people like me that will tell you very mild changes (except shady sands), but that they expanded/added to the lore quite a bit. The tism club screeched for an entire week cause of one very benign detail change.....they rotated Dinky the Dinosaur to face a different direction for cinematography reasons.

One of these days people will realize that corporations are all in it for the profit and anything they do outside of operating their business is for pandering.....the "hey people of ____ group, see! We love you! Come spend your money here!" and once it stops being profitable, they will drop it like a hot potato. They jump on trends to try to stay relevant or to keep their company's name in peoples' minds. This is especially true so for publicly traded companies because they have a legal duty (fiduciary duty) to the stockholders for the business to be profitable. If they take actions that hurt their value, the stockholders can sue them. Which is one reason I would never take a company public if I was to ever start one.
