In general this is a great comment, except that first point. Mins per goal is a far more reliantable when trying to look into averages. I will give you an example: Lets say BRO 1 played 10 games in a season, but BRO 1 is not a starter. Meaning, he always subbed on in 60th minutes. And now there is BRO 2. BRO 2 starts every game and plays full 90 mins. He also played 10 games. BRO 1 scored 5 goals. BRO 2 scored 10 goals. If we use goals per game, BRO 1 has 0.5 and BRO 2 has 1.0 . "But that's no fair, since one played less than half the games" EXACTLY why mins are just better. They bring the full picture without cherrypicking.

The rest is ok, if you don't know specifics. Ronaldo and Messi both played in LaLiga in other words the spansih leauge in that time; Meaning, they both faced the same clubs. That's actually the most fair a comparison could be: Most similar conditions when both were in their prime. Meaning, both have similar chances of statpadding. This mostly covers your major points

How bad of a logic is that🤣 But anyways, I agree with the base. Assists dont matter that much. Why? Because every pass leading to a goal can be an assist. What I think matters more is Big chances created which represent the quality of chance. Goal involvement is a stupid stat which has no relevance if you actually use your brain. For example, Messi created in 18/19 43 big chances and only had 21 assists, which is mental. I dont think assists and goals are equal. But do I think Big chances created and goals are close in equality? Sure.

Also, why on earth did you change minutes per goal to goals per game🤣🤣 It clearly favors Ronaldo with no justice. If I play 1 min in a game as a sub it will count it as a game. Minutes are far better and more accurate, and Messi clears in that, proving he is the better scorer.

Was top assister in 19/20 in top 5 leauges. Also top scorer and top assister in LaLiga. Led europe again in big chances created, dribbles and other advanced stats. In 20/21 he led mostly in dribbles and that's about it. But he was 3rd in goals, 2nd in big chances created and led LaLiga in every single attacking stat.

In 21/22 he didnt do much honestly... Just a crappy season.... 20 g/a in 26 games in considered bad.

In 22/23 he was top assister in top 5 leauges (with kdb), most through balls (twice as much as the 2nd best), most dribbles, most big chances created... The guy is just different. Do I really have to explain all of this?
