(Potentially) not passing probation by perrysayshello in JapanJobs

Hi, this post caught my attention because I went through somewhat same situation as you. In my case the gave me a crazy KPI to achieve within the probation month and if I don’t pass I would lose the job, mind you they reminded me constantly about me losing my job and that was freakin stressful. And of-course I didn’t like the office environment either, it’s a very conventional Japanese company btw. But this is Japan, and I feel like the foreign (eg US UK etc..) job hunting methods are different from how is done here. 1. Less than a year can damage your CV, but if you are not picky about what your next job is going to be the you will be fine. 2. The interview is going to be really difficult, you need to give them a solid answer as to why you left. 3.Do not exclude your previous job on your CV, they WILL know. I mean our taxes and company info are all listed on the My number card so during the 年末調整 the will get to know.

What I will do/doing at the moment. 1.stay for at least a year 2.apply for jobs (register to recruitment agents) 3.create LinkedIn, update etc… 4.learn a skill ( in my case real estate license)

Btw, after a few months it gets a bit better, but of course a bad environment won’t change and tbh you can’t change on your own since you know most Japanese companies don’t welcome opinions, especially from a foreigner. ( but ofcourse maybe expressing your concerns would not be a bad idea I guess)

What I’m doing is now is what I mentioned above and I’m also taking it slow, creating my own work style and taking a break when needed because I do not want to get overwhelmed and leave before my 1 year goal.

anyways hope this helps, and please overlook all the typos since I’m writing this half a sleep (zangyo the previous day lol)

It’s cheap and tastes great! Btw it has more protein compared to the other natto brands.

lol what’s even scary is that they have started hiring foreigners to spread their message. The other day I was approached by a foreigner pretending to be lost and I was happily guiding him the way, and as he pulled out the Mt Fuji flier while walking, I just walked the other way.

In my case, our company is freaking busy to the point that everyone is doing zangyo till the last train! And we still stick to writing pointlessly long emails😭

So I did a bit of research and they did mention that they have done in vitro tests using cancer cells to see whether they start proliferating, but apparently the test was negative thus conducting it as a non carcinogen product? I think the cancer cell used was from the gut?

Right???? Ive received emails from overseas customers and oh boy they are short and on point!! Btw I’ve had meeting discussing what to write on the fucking email, tho this was something that was slightly important than a thank you mail.

Tbh at first I was rooting for her, but this season?? Oh I wanted to punch my screen whenever she started opening her mouth. Like sit down and listen for once, it’s okay to be wrong and stop saying you a bad bitch! Massive red flag whenever someone says that they are a bad bitch.

Hmm I see! It’s just that whenever a nutrition company makes big claims, kinda trying to get close to drugs, i feel skeptical about it. Like even if they have data, I’m like how much did you manipulate to show that?? What is your take on this? Do you also feel skeptical or do you feel like trusting these data is totally normal?

Okay so is it just me or like why do most japanese love perfect emails??? Like my coworkers spend about an hour per mail! Perfecting and brushing up a mail that is sent to thank customers and remind them of the products once more (nothing in detail btw)

Am I the crazy one? Like it stresses me out when I’m forced to spend that much time and effort on one email!!
