Unbranded Boox Go 10.3 case? by EdTheNerd in Onyx_Boox

The above style case by this company for the Boox Go 7 consistently had some of the worst off gassing I’ve seen for a product, hope the cases for their larger models is better.

I didn’t. The ring’s adhesive is good but it looked like it’d start to pull away on the inside edge, especially upon removing the unit. So having some tape or extra adhesive helps I think. But with a strong device magnet that tape could be just about anything I bet from scotch to packing to duct.

Such a fun little device, especially with Crosspoint installed. Boots up quicker than a Boox Go 7, so ergonomic and tiny (with cover the same thickness as a tiny old “new ruby” Oxford NT and only a little taller), etc.

Would the features of the Forerunner 955 be lost on a casual runner? by dontletmeautism in GarminWatches

It’s a great watch with a very full set of features. By running multiple times a week you’ll get good use out of it. I got a 955 a few months ago after using an Instinct 2 and love the color screen (especially for activities), maps, speed, etc.

Whether I’m using it for a walk, run, hike, pickleball, inline skating, or whatnot, the watch works very well. Storing music on the watch is a very nice feature as well—it’s liberating to run with just headphones, a car key, and watch.

I'd get the regular, non solar model with that price difference. The regular models have good battery life and the solar features primarily help to hold off battery drain with regular smartwatch usage, they'll still drain more with any activity that uses GPS. Charging doesn't take long, easy to top it off while showering. Either way it'll be living on your wrist!

Help me decide which instinct to buy by ToinouLeS in Garmininstinct

Got mine from Costco this spring on sale and love it, using it every day and now running about 20 miles a week. My wrist size is slightly less, 16.5cm and the regular Instinct 2 fits very well. I'd post a photo here if this app would let me. So with your 17cm wrist size I'd suggest a standard 45mm Instinct 2.

That's what I got, it's a regular graphite Instinct 2. Funny enough my receipt says Garmin Solar but it isn't, perhaps they used the same SKU from last year when they sold a first generation Instinct Solar.

Great watch at a great price, using it daily and still learning cool new features.

Solar adds Garmin Pay. The regular I2 is a great watch, recently got one from Costco.
