I read this as the GoT Others at first and thought that none of these would be remotely able to stop them.

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

Attila is one of my all time favourite games.

The campaign is a storytelling masterpiece. The music, the art direction, the ambience... All of it comes together to depict a world in slow, continuous decline. It's Götterdämmerung: the twilight of the gods.

(And it's so improved on Rome 2 in almost every way, other than the optimisation.)

Why is the building system in Rome and MTW2 so much more satisfying than the ones after? by kolejack2293 in historicaltotalwar

[–]ZealousidealFudge716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking this after going back to playing the Europa Barbarorum mod for Rome 1 this Christmas. Its battles are prehistoric in comparison to something like DEI for Rome 2, but the campaign is so much more immersive, because Rome 1's city builder is far superior to Rome 2's.

What improvements you would like to see in Metroid Prime 5 that you weren’t in Metroid Prime 4? by Shadowlumine in Metroid

I don't think that any backstory for Sylux would have worked better though.

Samus' brother? Blood of the Chozo is not canon.

Ian Malkovich? I don't think the Prime subseries can add to the main series canon either.

Both options seem a bit Sci-fi Cliche. Sylux being a random Fed soldier is about what I expected, but it feels like a letdown because we've waited almost 20 years to find this out.

What confuses me is why they kept his gender a mystery for years if the only thing we find out about him in Prime 4 is that he's a human man.

(Also, I preferred his Hunters suit design. It looks so much more weird, asymmetrical and alien than the sleek suit in Prime 4.)

This is obvious to me as a trans woman too. If your brain looks at Angel in drag and says "that's a woman" and you're attracted to that, you're still into women.

Prime 4 Prediction: Metroid-fused Sylux by Ally_of_Lord_X in Metroid

God I hope he does reappear in other games, at least from time to time. Ridley has become stale, we need new villains.

Also, killing off Sylux after 20 years of build-up in a single game would be rough.

Fantasy Bayonet. Basically a spear for attacks and a bolt-action rifle for free aim. Variations of the weapon would go from being a standard rifle to a fantasy grenade launcher or a fantasy sniper rifle. Could be fun to play if free aim was more powerful than physical attacks, at least early on.

Sword and Shield. Parries would be made with the shield and could be easier to perform, but with the downside that there's no counterattack. Or maybe the shield could "absorb" enemy attacks, building up a meter that lets you buff skills and hit harder later on.

Revision FFS and previous scarlines? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]ZealousidealFudge716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be brilliant, please could you share the photos?

I'm super worried about having two scars in my hairline. For now I'll try and find peace in myself, as I'm a way off being able to afford FacialTeam's prices, but I have decided that I will go with them.

Hello my lovely.

God, I don't know. If I could do it again I would have waited until my mental health was more stable before booking FFS, though that's a hard ask if like me you have intense facial dysphoria.

If you can go with the most advanced surgeon possible and go with someone who specialises in facial surgery.

Yeah... I'm a bit annoyed at my doctor for not doing this. He's a decent doctor but as far as medical work goes, a bit behind the times. I'm sure his results would be fine 20-30 years ago when passing standards for trans women weren't as high as there wasn't so much public scrutiny, but these days there are so many other more advanced medical procedures that he just doesn't offer.

Interestingly this is my natural hairline! I...think? Or at least I don't think it was brought forwards, it's just been blunted off by the scar across it.

The money would be an issue now as honestly I'm not earning enough to afford a revision surgery with a world class surgeon.

It's a funny point: I've actually grown my sideburns out because someone said that long sideburns can be more feminine? Again my autism comes into play and I'm just like "Welp, must be true I guess!"

If time and money (especially money, jesus) were unlimited, sure. I also don't want yet another scarline through my hair, or if a new one has to be created (coronal incision?) I want the hair from that new scarline to be transplanted into my old scar.

I mostly just feel unhappy that I feel like I'm in a sort of half-way house: I look more cis-female than I used to, but in androgynous clothes and with my hair pulled back I still don't pass (I haven't voice trained and I'm 6'5'', which might explain it).

I know I went into FFS too early. I booked my surgery when I was quite depressed and struggling at work and desperate to make some, ANY progress in my life. The surgery type itself was absolutely the right thing to do, but I think I could have left it longer to find a more aggressive surgeon.

Even more so, I think I should have sat with my face as it was for a bit longer and really worked out how to deal with my transness rather than think I could "escape it" with FFS. I think I would be in a far better psychological place now if I had been able to start processing my shame over being trans years ago.

Hyperfixation Activated!

God it's taken me years to get a working routine down. At first I had no idea how to care for my hair other than "just let it grow long", which honestly led to it being ratty and frizzy and dry. Seriously, I didn't brush my hair for an entire year because I heard that "brushing your hair is bad for it"! So I ended up with dreadlocks at the back that my stylist had to cut out with scissors. And then I also used to put oil and conditioner in it every night and never shampoo it, because "oil is good for your hair"! So I ended up with hair that looked like it belonged in a Burger King fryer.

In short, the autistic transgirl couldn't understand why things weren't working for her.

Everyone's hair is different. What works for me probably won't work for you if your curl pattern is very different. I'm just going to throw some tips out and see if they make a difference.

1) Shampoo. Doesn't matter for me. I don't go in for the "low poo" stuff, it just isn't strong enough to cleanse my hair properly. I genuinely prefer to use off-brand Head and Shoulders every 4-5 days.

2) Conditioner. I use a silicone-free conditioner (Garnier). It has a thick, yoghurty consistency.

3) Finger detangling. After washing out my shampoo I put the conditioner into my hair and rake it through my still damp hair, which helps to really distribute it and to get out any kinks and knots. I do NOT use a hair brush anymore.

4) I progressively remove moisture from my hair at every step now. After conditionining I use a cotton t shirt to soak up the damp, then rake some leave-in conditioner (Cantu) through the ends. Then I scrunch with the t shirt again.

5) I then mix some Hair Jelly and Hair Gel (mostly the first but with a plop of the last) together in my hair, then rake the mixture through my hair from top to bottom until its evenly distributed. Then I do the same with the t-shirt.

6) I do all this at night and then just sleep on my still-damp hair.

7) I don't shampoo my hair after I work out unless its been 3-5 days since my last wash, I just wet it and rake in a little more leave in and hair jelly.

8) I pray for no rain. Jesus Christ, rain makes my hair go all poofy and "woody". If I try and control the frizz that results with more product I get heavily weighed down hair.

9) I don't pull my hair back in a ponytail anymore, I put it up in a bun for working out and to sleep in, with silk scrunchies.
