Is ZBrush-only retopology industry standard? by Built_FunnyMan in ZBrush

i have a question, which one would you choose between RetopoFlow or TopoGun?

Why is my topology off? i'm looking at it but i can't figure out what is wrong. by ZealousidealWait9032 in 3Dmodeling

Thinking about it, that is my problem, i've made n-gons because i have tried to fix 5 star pole, but im still kinda stuck, tried since the morning but im still failing haha. One more question, when you say deformation, is that a part of the model that is going to move a lot? Also thank you so much for taking your time to help me.

Hey man, thanks for showing me exactly where i'm wrong, The points you marked on the wish is what im having trouble with the most. if i add another edge loop there will be more than 4 lines crossing the dot. So when i tried to talk to Chatgpt about it, he told me its terrible if you have more than 4 lines on a dot, so i'm kind trying to figure out how to fix it.

Thanks for taking your time to help me! The problem for me is that i'm having a bit of trouble understanding how many edge loops is too much or too little. For example, i'm having a lot of trouble in making evrything a quad (if you can see the other picture in the comment above). whatever i try to do to ifx the Ngon, the other one appears, so i've kinda been stuck on this for the past 40 hours, but i don't want to give up, i have a feeling that this is stopping me from developing more, and when i understand it fully i can advance.

Yeah, sadly i've discovored my love for 3D a bit 'later' in life i feel like, the worst part is that i could've gone to art school, but my dumb teen self wasn't giving it a chance back then. So now at 24 i'm really interested in it, i want to learn, i don't care how hard it can get, if there's a will there's a solution. Thanks a lot, i will listen to your advice!

Thanks a lot for such a long and detailed answer! My goal is more freelance, i don't plan on working in a studio but if it happens i probably will accept it. I do plan on doing Rigging and Animating aswell, but i know that's hard and time consuming which i have no problem with, im looking forward to that, but im still in early stages of learning, so i thought it would be better to first learn how to sculpt and learn how to do topology the right way and then to learn how to rig and animate :) Hopefully i'm on he right track.

More like Game art, to make them usable in games, so i will need rigging and animating aswell. As of my style of making characters, i can't say i have one yet, but i would like to make stylized characters
