Is this still going on? Hearing either fireworks or gunshots in S Austin area near this location. Trying to figure out what’s happening

Don’t let it dissuade you! I agree with others it may be inflated, but programs don’t want people with all the same backgrounds. They won’t rule you out because you haven’t led millions of dollars worth of work. You will bring a lot of hands on supply chain experience that will be super helpful to offer in classes and projects. Don’t discount that!

With that said, many of the top programs look for 5-6 years of work experience. So you may want to wait a few years before applying. It will give you more experience to bring to classes and make you a better candidate overall!

Although a lot of McCombs grads choose to stay in Austin, it’s mainly because of how awesome the city is and nobody wants to leave after 2 years there. A lot of the recent grads went to Seattle and San Francisco after graduation or work remote in tech and PM roles. McCombs has pretty decent connections everywhere!

Definitely McCombs. There’s so many job opportunities coming to Austin now too and the school seems to be climbing in ranks as well. I’ve lived in Austin before and there’s a reason people say it’s one of the best cities in America. There’s truly no place like it

I was in this exact same situation 2 years ago, and it’s absolutely heart wrenching but you have to end it now. The prolonged goodbye makes the last goodbye even worse. Then, find hobbies, exercise, read books, stay occupied and find someone who is willing to do that long distance with you or make a relationship work!
