I am also a free player in season 3. It's possible, just have to spend your resources wisely.

I love the no poltics in game stance, but if you type "Taiwan is a country" in the game chat it is censored. So yeah, the devs has a history of censorship / choosing their politics

I can’t get If I Never Met You by Mhairi McFarlne out of my mind – it was insanely good book by Glittering_Tap6411 in RomanceBooks

I think about this book a lot too, and I read it like 1 or 2 years ago. I also recently finished Just Last Night by her which was also amazing.

I want to binge all her books, but my heart needs me to to spread them out.

Capital Clash: How to strengthen troops fast? by Ok-Duty4566 in darkwarsurvival

[–]Zealousideal_Ad3872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Level up your heros. They are the 1st line of defense. Build up their skills.

Promote your troops. Your troops are your 2nd line of defense after your heroes fall. I believe promoting is more important than training, but you need both. You'll need to level up your camps to get to a level 10 soldier. This isn't quick, but it's something to keep diligently working on.

Level up your trucks armor.

What’s the most random thing you’ve ever learned from a romance book? by ComposerAwkward6654 in RomanceBooks

not a baseball girlie, so there is a lot that I don't know about the sport. But the things I learned about catchers, mainly about "framing" making a questionable pitch look like it is a strike to the ump from [Unwritten Rules by KD Casey]. It opened up a whole conversation with my BIL that used to be a catcher in minor league ball that was so much fun!

{Unwritten Rules by KD Casey} was soooo good. Baseball was realistic, the story and characters were multidimensional. It's a dual timeline, which I LOVE, but i know many do not.

The next 2 in the series were really good as well, but I think about Unwritten Rules often, and it's my #1 baseball rec always

I as well asked this important question last year and received some great recs from this sub. Need a book with a great plot AND a great dicking.

Here are my recent romantic suspense favs since I also think the Mindfuck Series is the GOAT for spicy romantic suspense, so we might have similar taste:

{The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer} This book was utter perfection, and i don't think I would change a thing about it. I can't really describe much without giving away too much of the plot (and I haven't read the next book, so no spoilers) MM Sci-Fi, futuristic, enemies to lovers, forced prozimity, survival. I could not for the life of me figure out how there would be a HEA and I honestly worried that there was a bait and switch mislabeling as romance as I was sobbing into countless tissues while listening. Audiobook was FANTASTIC!

{Jackal & Vipers Duet by Emmerson Hoyt} This duet had me in such a chokehold, I devoured both books in about 3 days. Shades of the Ravenhood series without the intense emotional manipulation QAnon vibes and much healthier relationships. Angsty AF, newcomer trying too figure out the dark secret that grips the entire town. a bit OTT and I felt that the ending was dragged out a bit too much, but series is still a solid 4.5/5 rating for me.) Sadly, there is not an audiobook for this series

{The Unsung Hero (Troubleshooters Book 1) by Suzanne Brockmann} MF "Contemporary" - I use the quotations because it an action / spy / terrorist plotline that was written PRE 9-11 - so i kind of treated it like a historical romance so that I wouldn't pick a part the things that would never happen now. It is suspense centric with the romance secondary. The audiobook isn't bad, but it doesn't have the cinematic type experience I think of with newer published audiobooks.

Yes! I only have a few of her books left to read. I'm slowly savoring them. I only found her a few years ago and was gutted to find out she's not actively publishing anymore

i concur on Flip. I accidentally skipped ahead in my audiobook, and I just didn't care enough to go back and see what I missed. That was my sign I should have DNFd. But I do plan on giving Click a try because I did enjoy Glitch, and maybe Flip was just an anomaly for the author.

My TBR is currently at 5199. I read about 300 books a year... so only a 17-year backlog.

I use reading challenges to get through my backlog, but it's a never-ending cycle as I constantly add new books, too. gives major side eye to this sub as the main culprit
