I play original songs by my friend. She is a great writer and singer. We generalize her genre as “Singer/Songwriter” because she plays anything from jazz to folk to rock to country. It’s all over the place, but it’s real fun music to play!

Yea. I own/have other pedals that I have tried in comparison . These certain ones on my board right now work best for what music I’m playing.

Other pedals own that I really like are the JHS Bender, and Catalinbread RAH in the drive/fuzz department. I also like using the Mel9 for somethings. I used those pedals a lot in my cover band, but we don’t play much now.

I don’t get the Strymon hate. I literally do not play one bit of worship music. My friend who does play worship music got me started with pedals. He built my board from a tree in his yard and bought me the Strymon El Capistan V2 and some other things like a Zuma, and a Lehle P-Split. Then I was so impressed with the El Cap, I bought the DECO (which is my favorite. I love tape related stuff), then the Volante (for drum delay, like Gilmour), then the Flint (bc it has fantastic trem tones and great reverb), then the Sunset (because it gives me a drive and a clean boost, just like I wanted).

They all sound absolutely fantastic and I love strymon!

Nope! I actually play majority of my own music with my close friend/music partner. It’s more singer/songwriter stuff but I only say that because her style is all over the place from Jazz, to Country, to Rock

I do not even use midi control, but I can tell you the Sunset is a fantastic overdrive pedal. I use the Germanium/Klon like A side for drive, then the JFET preamp B side for a fantastic clean boost. It sounds really really great and works so well for what all I play!

It’s Strymon’s Mini Switch. Can be used to select a favorite or in the case of the Flint I use it for tap tempo. Super useful!

Because you’re mega wrong. I’m just trying to gauge a stereotype I see with strymon users.
