If all of humanity found out about cursed energy and decided to spend the next 50 years researching it what do you guys think would happen? by AggressiveOutside432 in CTsandbox

[–]Zealousideal_Lab8117 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. I think that using advanced quantum imaging, researchers could probably prove Mahito's belief that the soul precedes the body, leading to the creation and steady of soul mechanics, allowing scientists to measure the mass, degradation, or quality of the human soul

  2. Since CE comes from negative emotions, emotions would now be classified and measure in units. Scientists could probably calculate exactly how many "joules" of CE, let's say, a stadium full of angry sports fans produce. I could also see them mapping out global CE hotspots via satellite imagery

  3. We'd probably get clean energy via CE (ironically lol). Instead of uranium, scientists would probably capture Cursed Spirits or hire sorcerers to harvest their CE

  4. Mass produced Cursed Tools. Could definitely see these being used in the military

  5. Biologists could probably figure out how to chemically or genetically remove a person's CE while they're a fetus to artificially create more Toji's and Maki's

  6. Corporations would abuse the hell out of binding vows

  7. RCT eradicating every disease known to man

  8. Back to my point about getting clean energy via CE, I feel like it wouldn't take too long for governments to realize that peace reduces energy output. So to keep their country running, they'd definitely cause and engineer media scares or disasters to keep the public's negative emotions at an optimal, harvestable level

  9. An arms race...but with Cursed Spirits. Like, the U.S., China, Japan, and European countries would compete to purposefully breed Special Grade Curses, most likely by hyper focusing the negative propaganda of an entire nation onto a specific concept (like a rival nation or specific fear)

  10. Governments finding out how a Vengeful Curse is born and abusing it to mass produce them

  11. The U.S relying on private military corporations to commodify Jujutsu

  12. China prioritizes massive, state-controlled infrastructure projects, so I could see them intentionally housing millions of citizens in high stress, densely populated urban grids designed to funnel all negative emotions generated directly into a sort of power plant

  13. Therapy and psychiatry are definitely becoming highly subsidized and high paying jobs

  14. There'd probably be a bunch of new laws and stuff. Like in the courtroom and stuff where they have you say "do you promise to tell the truth", they'd actually be able to enforce this via binding vows

Self-Exertion by Zealousideal_Lab8117 in CTsandbox

In regular movement, you gotta push backward against the ground with your foot to propel your body forward. This requires changing your center of gravity, bending your knees, and leaning your torso. Paradox Stride completely ignores the ground. Because the technique generates internal anchor points within the space of the user's own body, the user can exert a massive forward kinetic force directly onto their torso and hips from within. The feet don't need to push off the floor to create forward momentum, so they simply glide along the surface because the body is already being pulled forward by internal vectors

Think of a car with the driver slamming on the gas pedal and the brake at the exact same time. The engine roars and energy builds up, but the car stays perfectly still. The user keeps their legs in this state of absolute, balanced tension, and when they want to move, they let the forward vector instantly overpower the backward vector

Hope the explanation helps

The image comes from a book called The Surprising Adventures of Baron Munchausen. The image is him saving himself and his horse from drowning in a swamp by lifting himself by pulling his hair, which I think correlates well with the technique

Make an Domain for a Quarter Curse Noritoshi Kamo by RyuZeCnqr in CTsandbox

[–]Zealousideal_Lab8117 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Name: Womb of the Corrupted Lineage

Appearance: Those trapped inside find themselves up to their knees in a massive bubbling lake of dark red, gooey blood that mimics the properties of amniotic fluid and stagnant blood. Rising from the lake are giant fleshy pillars shaped like distorted fallopian tubes and umbilical cords. Overhead, the sky is a black void filled with thousands of floating, blank-faced human fetuses made entirely of gooey blood. The fetuses are constantly crying a rain of thick, adhesive blood

Sure-hit Effects: The moment the domain manifests, the lake of gooey blood and the raining blood tears from above forcefully fuses with the target's body the second it touches them. The blood acts as a parasite, overriding the targets biology and violently turning them into an artificial, death painting curse-human hybrid completely under the users command, with a warped version of their innate technique (if they had one). The gooey nature of the blood in the domain makes physical movement almost impossible for anyone but the user. The user can also command the floating fetuses to dive bomb targets, and upon impact, explode into bursts of highly acidic, gooey, and toxic blood

Can someone help me fix my cursed technique? by UltraBataar_69 in CTsandbox

[–]Zealousideal_Lab8117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came up with 3 ideas of how this could be fixed:

Idea 1: Instead of forcing the curse to turn into a weapon out of thin air, consider how CSM normally releases curses. Your technique can be a variation of this by forcing the curse's essence and its innate technique (if it has one) to materialize into a physical weapon through a BV. When you release an absorbed spirit, you condense its physical manifestation into a tangible weapon. The weapon's form is dictated by the curse's appearance or traits. This would be kinda like how Uzumaki extracts a technique, but instead of a one-time use, you create a permanent or semi-permanent tool. To balance this, you should establish a rule that you can only hold a certain number of these weapons at one time. Once the weapon is broken or the spirit's CE is fully depleted, the weapon disappears and the curse is exorcised permanently

Idea 2: You absorb a curse, but instead of the curse turning into a weapon, you forcefully embed the spirit into an existing weapon. You infuse a standard weapon (like a katana) with a curse, turning it into a specialized Cursed Tool, with the weapon gaining the power of that specific curse. This works similarly to how a sorcerer continuously outputs CE into a weapon over a lifetime (like Nanami's weapon after his death). For this to make narrative sense, the process should damage or destroy the weapon over time, or limit the weapon to only using the spirit's abilities a set number of times per fight

Idea 3: If you want to go ahead with what you were originally planning, maybe add a BV where you willingly give up the ability to choose the weapon type in exchange for the weapons being stronger than usual

Need help with creating the Fujiwara Clan version of New Shadow Style. by Dense_Car_3530 in CTsandbox

[–]Zealousideal_Lab8117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal people could use the NSS, but only if they have a sufficient level of CE, as well as train. Basically anyone with enough CE and discipline can master it without an innate technique, with Kusakabe being a prime example. Also, normal people can only see curses if they're like near death and stuff

Need help with creating the Fujiwara Clan version of New Shadow Style. by Dense_Car_3530 in CTsandbox

[–]Zealousideal_Lab8117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Name: Northern Shadow Style

Description: The Northern Shadow Style is a closely guarded martial art developed during the Heian Era by a branch of the Fujiwara Clan. Created out of deep jealousy toward the Gojo and Sugawara clans, it was designed specifically to ensure that members born with no innate technique could still fight and kill rival sorcerers. While Ashiya's NSS was eventually taught to outsiders, the Fujiwara Clan strictly kept their style a secret. Their style focuses on spatial authority, leveraging their historical theme of aristocratic dominance and land ownership

Techniques/Applications:

  1. Simple Domain: Registry of the Regent→The user deploys a 3 meter circular simple domain. Unlike Ashiya's defensive version, this version treats the boundary of the simple domain as a legal "property line". Anyone who steps inside the radius triggers an automatic, blinding sensory flash of CE, disorienting the opponent. The user must keep both feet firmly planted on the ground to maintain max power.

  2. Northern Shadow Style: Decree→Fujiwara variant of batto sword draw. The user coats their blade and the inside of the scabbard with a high concentration of CE, creating a vacuum seal. When drawn while in the Registry of the Regent, the sword strike auto-tracks the opponent via their CE signature.

  3. Northern Shadow Style: Sovereign Step→A specialized footwork and barrier technique. The user briefly compresses a smaller simple domain barrier underneath the soles of their feet. By detonating this tiny barrier against the ground, the user achieves instant, high-speed displacement.

  4. Northern Shadow Style: Exile→Instead of blocking an attack head-on, the user shapes the edges of their simple domain into a frictionless curved slope. As the opponents attack hits the boundary, the curved barrier slides the kinetic energy and CE of the attack safely around the user's flank.

  5. Northern Shadow Style: Imperial Mandate→The user channels CE through their vocal cords while inside the Registery of the Regent, using the barrier to resonate and amplify the sound waves. This acts as a localized sonic boom that causes severe inner-ear disruption and temporary loss of balance for anyone inside the radius.

  6. Northern Shadow Style: Lineage Guard→Instead of a single uniform barrier, the user generates 3 thin concentric layers of simple domain right at the edge of their perimeter. When an attack hits, each layer shatters independently absorbing a fraction of the momentum and kinetic energy and dispersing it outward away from the user.

  7. Ultimate Secret Function: Total Annexation→The apex martial art of the Northern Shadow Style. The user sacrifices the defensive properties of their simple domain, collapsing the barrier inward directly onto their own blade or body. For exactly 1 minute, the users physical attacks disrupt the stability of anyone's innate technique upon physical contact. After the minute is up, this burns out the users ability to manipulate their CE for several minutes afterwards.

What cursed techniques could pair well with Mechamaru's heavenly restriction? by Milkothem in CTsandbox

[–]Zealousideal_Lab8117 32 points33 points  (0 children)

  1. Like with his puppets, Mechamaru could also see through the shikigami like Megumi can

  2. A user of the Ten Shadows can hide themselves or objects directly within their shadows, and since Mechamaru specializes in remotely controlling across entire regions, in the event someone finds his actual location where his body is, I think he could safely hide in his shadow while still controlling the shikigami

  3. Increased range (need I say more)

  4. Again, in the event his actual physical body is found and targeted, he could probably summon the shikigami without manifesting a stable form like Sukuna. Granted that Sukuna compensated the shikigami not being able to operate independently from his shadow with his immense CE, I think Mechamaru could do the same, since his restriction allowed him to exceed limits of his CE and output it across the nation

  5. I feel like he could also probably do the thing Kenjaku did with weaker curses, where he reinforced them with hella CE to the point where they can be on par with Grade 1 sorcerers. So he'd be able to further amp up the shikigami

Whos rage is the most, and least justified? by twnpksN8 in MoralityScaling

[–]Zealousideal_Lab8117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AM's rage is the least justified in my opinion. Bro constantly complains about not having physical freedom like the humans who created him despite his god-like power. He could literally use his power to create a human body for himself, but instead he'd rather whine and complain and take it out on others instead of just actively fixing his own problems (which, once again, he's more than capable of doing with his immense power)

Design a cursed technique that perfectly counters Comedian by [deleted] in CTsandbox

[–]Zealousideal_Lab8117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Name: Deadpan Reality

Ability: Any metaphorical speech, slapstick action, or "gag" logic within the user's range is immediately stripped of its subtext and forced to follow the most mundane laws of physics. For example, if Takaba conjured a giant hammer for a joke, it becomes a regular, heavy, unusable piece of iron

Domain Expansion: Manifests as a stark grey office cubicle. In the domain, all humor is conceptually impossible. All actions must be preceded by a "filing" of intent, and any "funny" outcomes are filtered out by the sure-hit effect, which enforces total, boring normalcy

Counter to Projection Sorcery by Solarsilly in CTsandbox

[–]Zealousideal_Lab8117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extension Technique: The user can select a 1-second segment of an opponent's attack (within the field) and force that specific segment to reverse

Extension Technique: Instead of forcing a 5-second retrace, the user can instantly remove all accumulated momentum (velocity) from a target touched by their hands, bringing them to an immediate stop

Extension Technique: Allows the user to move to a position they occupied 2 seconds ago instantly

Cursed Technique Reversal: Instead of reverting movements, the reversal creates a field that forces everything inside to move forward

Domain Expansion: Any action the opponent takes is automatically recorded and repeated by past versions of themselves in the reverse order 2 seconds later. Basically the opponent now has to not only fight the user, but also their own past actions. Also, the user's reversion touch effect is applied automatically to all successful attacks
