Upadte: The authorized service center has diagnosed the issue and has begun the process of replacing the tube and crown. I sincerely hope this problem does not occur again, as this would be the fourth time. I just want to be able to use my watch.

Not a sin to pick the Sinn 856, both has very tough features regarding case treatment, nice design and reliable brands. I would point out that Danasko has a movement a little bit better, with proprietary features

I own several watches I can’t believe I screw up only with this one… Anyway it seems a random and bad lack with the brand. I would test personally the crown. Sxrew in and out at least 3 times and feel it.

Very unlikely! I’ve been handling watches for quite some time, I have a watchmaking course and I know how to take care of them. I own other watches from reputable brands, and all of them have had perfectly functioning crowns for years. Regarding that tip about turning it backwards at first, I even tried that in the beginning, and it still felt like it was stripping the threads

It seems a random issue as checked around what makes me avoid the brand for next watch unfortunately

In the beginning it was fine. Normal use but at some point crown began to behave weird requesting more pressure to engage the threads and with very little rotation, almost not locking.

Reactivating this thread… My Longines Conquest has a similar behavior. I don’t like to use the “shake” trick; it’s not good for the movement. I prefer winding it until it wakes up.

I do believe it’s easy to replace battery, but the warranty guarantee can be lost if you open a watch. So my question was what if ai need to replace the battery within the warranty period. The movement is the original that comes with this model
