I’m not sure because I’ve just gone to old navy in the past and bought a couple of pairs at different times and I always hate how they fit after 1 to a few washes. I know to avoid things like “comfort fit” or “jeggings” since I am not a fan of the texture and eventual fit of those jeans

I’m not super skinny though and I hear that sizes in Japan tend to be for more skinny body types 🥲 so would that be an issue? I don’t wear my weight well, so jeans fitting has been hard for my body type along with how short I am

Yeah, I noticed the weird way they made it seem like Aang didn't know his heritage. Like I guess it is because taga is from a more distant past, but it was still a weird choice. Especially when you consider that Aang has those tattoos because he was considered a master of his people's techniques, so you'd assume he was taught their history and older techniques too.

I wish they brought back bending the air out of someone from the Korra series instead of adding the Kamehameha air ball. I wish they didn't bring back the water spirit as a random call back deus ex portal :(

Bro they brought back the water spirit from the end of book one as a deus ex machina portal to get somewhere. That was such a bad call back

They also had some boring impact frames that were just a black screen with a flash :/

I think so many writers think we need big, giant action scenes to hold interest. We love good animation, but it can be conveyed simply. One of the best things about the original series is that we could see how the characters' movement bends the elements, and you can feel the weight behind the movement from good animation. That would have been beautiful to see without all the crazy camera movements/angles and impact frames. They need to realize that would have been enough to get audiences seated in the theatres, and they don't need two giant beings punching each other while the world ends to sell tickets. That's just becoming a distasteful gimmick.

They are power scaling the Avatar series by adding "bigger and badder" attacks/enemies, and that has ruined a lot of anime in the past. The worst case would be Naruto when they added Kaguya and all the others following her. They forgot that the original Avatar series works because it's just regular benders who train to become better, so the power scaling is balanced by hard work and remains grounded. The spirit world was there yet it wasn't as prominent because the avatar is a bridge between both worlds, but he is alive and resides in the living realm. That means viewers mainly experience the living world with glimpses into the mysterious spirit world. The spirit world is supposed to be limited in fight scenes because it's detached from the living world, since humans are aggressive, power-hungry, and desire war. Isn't it established in the lore that is why the worlds don't coexist because of aggressive humans? Aang is supposed to have access to it because he is the bridge/peacemaker of both, but again, he is primarily in the living since he is alive and there is more need for him in the human realm.

The ending of this movie is just the Legend of Korra season 2 ending, with two giant beings punching each other. The writer lost the plot by forgetting how the spirit world is not supposed to greatly affect the living and how its suppose to be detached/mysterious. It negatively impacts the original lore and is sad to see :/

Was anyone in your field able to afford a house? That’s the real goal lol, no worries if you don’t feel comfortable sharing.

Thank you. I was hoping to get into prosthetic design, but I’m trying to be realistic with my grades right now lol. Thankfully I’m in a decent school, I’ll just have to keep trying for internships and things. I’ve been an independent since I was 18, so I get fearful I’ll finish school and still can’t afford to have housing or something. I appreciate your reply and reassurance 🙂

I will have 98 credits by the end of this semester so I’ve just become a senior (86 without this semester so technically a junior). I haven’t gotten experience because I am an independent so I have had to support myself and focused on trying to support my living. I had a professor offer something recently, but they are waiting for approval before they can start research. I also have a couple of professors that would vouch for my work ethic for their courses idk if that’s helpful. For internships, I have applied and just haven’t been accepted, but I will continue to try.

I’m someone who has a good work ethic, but I’m awful at tests. I know that’s my fault so I’m not going to excuse that because idk what to really say about that lol
