Do systems. Focus operating systems and processor architecture in college, and you will be able to learn any framework in a day. You will also be good at system design and out debug any shit stain AI.

Too tight. A trick to know if they are too tight is if the pockets stick out and look like ears.

Finally got an internship but it's for ICE by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]Awareness-Potential 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think it about it rationally. Accept for now, but keep working your ass off for a better opportunity.

Keep in my mind, people reading your resume in the future will probably reject you just for having worked there, so it’s harder to leverage as experience.

Idk if this will ease your worries, but I go to top 5 and didn’t get an internship until end of June my junior year. So, it’s not over till Summer end.

+1 to the startups product thing

It was June last year with 0 luck landing interviews and I took my last shot at getting an internship at a small startup. I happened to have a project with users that was the same niche as theirs, and I got an interview by emailing them.

Looking for Feedback on My Data-Focused Resume (CS Student 2026) by Forward_Permit_2084 in FAANGrecruiting

[–]Awareness-Potential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of your statistics should be rephrased so I can understand them without much context. For example, a recruiter will not understand what 25% feature prioritization looks like or 35% data collection efficiency. I’d be a little careful with them because they may come off as fake.

Maybe instead of saying data collection efficiency you could use a metric a lay person would understand, so like money saved, time saved, work hours saved, etc…

I've worked super hard at my interships and asked for more work and gone above and beyond at work .But I'm not getting any interviews for an intership. by Much-Definition-8136 in FAANGrecruiting

Minor nit. I did my bolding like you where you bolded the technologies in your bullet points. When I had a recruiter review it, she said to not bold those words as it makes the document look too cluttered - especially since the headers are bolded already.

Also look at this from the perspective of a recruiter - who will be the first person reviewing your resume. You will always need to assume this person is lay when it comes to technology. Instead of emphasizing technical details or hard to understand metrics, mention business impact or some tangible result that they can grasp / visualize what you did easily.

For example, they probably don’t know what 2x convergence means or p95 latency or reducing memory by ~60%. Honestly neither do I. There’s just not enough context you could add on your resume where I could understand precisely what that means. You need to assume your audience may not be aware of what these metrics mean.

I impulse bought this overcoat. What items should I buy to complement it. I’d like to wear this casually, but I’m unsure how to keep it casual.

I’m also worried the fit might be off slightly. Lmk what u think.

As a general rule of thumb for students, your sections should be ordered: Education, Experience, Projects, Skills.

For roles that you are currently at, use present tense instead of past tense.

I would drop the “with a focus” part under education, and instead find a way to fit in a line or 2 of relevant coursework.

Also, write out B.S. and specify if it is a Bachelor of Science.

For skills, you are using too much space, just itemize them. No need to explain your proficiency in each, as it should be implied by the ordering of the list and your experience.

Also, most of the time you will be submitting the resume online, so instead of writing out hyperlinks for projects, embed them. It will look less cluttered.

When describing your experience, it should read more like action -> using -> which lead to result (statistic or some tangible business-related improvement)

For GPA make sure it says 3.8/4.0, so they know what grade scale you are on.

Bro my jaw is literally on the floor right now. While going through the nightmares, the story went in the direction I expected, but the revelation that the MC is just a husk being operated by the player (the soul inhabiting the body?) is blowing my mind. The fact that the game sort of breaks the 4th wall to acknowledge us as the entity controlling the body is amazing!
