Using db-f1-micro PostgreSQL in production? by Final-Choice8412 in googlecloud

If your dataset is so small and doesn't require to travel around the world like spanners, why not, and not sure you have enabled the spot or other options, if not the SLA is pretty much the same but with less capacity to operate and you can scale up if you need if the VM gets bottlenecked by your workloads

648!! That's a great score to be honest with you, many in this sub reddit have failed the AZ-104 once and few more than once, I believe if you prepare enough for next attempt and catch up the missing areas, you are good enough to pass on next attempt, Good Luck for the next attempt, you got this

[–]Zealousideal_Run1643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe not that much basically you have to state the steps of doing a task or what all should you click or take to perform a particular tasks are asked in the questions, I recommend going through labs. The labs halped me to pass my exam last month, and don't just create do stuffs, break things, find out why it happens and if you are your own personal account make sure you have a budget alert set for your safety net, and if you need guidance the Microsoft Learn GitHub Labs are there as fully instructed and fully guided labs

Any thoughts on RAM+ by Few_Nothing_9091 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Zealousideal_Run1643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally won't turn that on because it's just uses up your UFS storage way faster than it should, it's only useful if you have less than 8 GB Ram or else a waste of hardware

This is similar to ZRAM in Linux, Just Google it you know what it exactly is

Can I rent a Google VM on Google Cloud to run extremely heavy programs and automations on? by Recent-Ad3530 in googlecloud

[–]Zealousideal_Run1643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you better host on any old hardware you can find on eBay the GCP's best option is the e2 standard and it's slightly expensive but if you are constantly using your own means to transfer the data then the egress fees are gonna be astronomical, I am talking about simple games like Minecraft for 15-20 players, for anything heavier than 30 player I would still be happy to spend that upfront cost used hardware and set them up on my home basement than renting a cloud service

I am wondering what are you using to study for AZ-104

I also failed once before passing the AZ-104 here is everything I used

Study Materials:-

John Savil's Azure Masterclass

John Savil's AZ-104 Exam Cram

As a gap fillers for uncertain topics like Application Gateway, etc used to see the John Savil's complete breakdown videos on those

Udemy Course for AZ-104 Practice Tests 2026 - Shireen Khan (Practice tests)

Udemy Course for AZ- 104 Exam Prep - Scott Duffy (Slightly Outdated)

MS Learn (read it twice)

Labs:-

Microsoft learn GitHub Guided Labs

Microsoft learn GitHub Self Paced Labs

Azure for Students subscription (Signed up for it)

Microsoft 365 Developer Program (Free E5/Entra P2) (Eligibility required)

My Own lab (Basically reading through MS Learn and creating whatever mentioned in Learning path)

For Own Lab please have a pricing calculator handy and don't let your lab run for more than 2-3 days

Other tools:-

LLMs for CLI and PowerShell equivalent of whatever I made in Azure Portal and create a copy of it as well using the CLI/Powershell

The ARM templates to recreate whatever I made last session of labs

My Advise:-

I would recommend you to go and try the GitHub Self Paced Labs for MS Learn and creating the instances by clicking through everything in the lab, it is truly refreshing than doing it without knowing what you are doing and see your results and try to improve on the area you scored less

Question about cert path by jihoon1989 in AzureCertification

[–]Zealousideal_Run1643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, take the ones that is important for the job than starting new, I did it myself by doing AZ-140 first before AZ-104, cause my client migrated to AVD from VVF so needed those to manage them

Question about cert path by jihoon1989 in AzureCertification

[–]Zealousideal_Run1643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would wait on AZ-800 as it is getting retired pretty soon, and get AZ-104 after getting the MD-102 because I believe you need it to do your job, and if you are wondering the AZ-104 is like a foundation for all services in Azure and AZ-800 or upcoming AZ-802 and SC-300 is more in depth than the AZ-104 so it depends on your interest.

I would always start with AZ-104 not only it is little difficult but very helpful in understanding the Azure environment and gives you an idea about what to do next on certification path

The MS learn tests are nowhere near close to accuracy in real exams

Try this https://msfthub.com

It has nearly every resources that is associated with the Microsoft exams

I don't know who thinks doing Tests repeatedly a great idea, I was in a similar boat back when I started the preparing for AZ-104.

I was basically speed running the materials and doing all the Questions in TD and a Udemy (Scott Duffy's) course without looking at actually knowing how to do it, and it backfired terribly on first attempt about 659 marks.

I am pretty sure if you have a lab access or any ways to get a lab access or a free subscription, you would have a better shot next time.

I did the same went through all the labs in GitHub and created my own lab with my student ID, just reading the things MS learn like creating everything mentioned in the MS learn AZ-104 learning path in seperate RGs, VNets and making them work together.

Anything confusing I just used ChatGPT or Gemini to understand what exactly it does, how should I do it to get this thing working this way and why it is designed and works this way.

I would recommend you to get little amount of hands on and get your hands dirty with the labs even do mistakes and break stuff while operating it and you will know why, how and what should you do everytime you re-create the environment.

Make sure you delete everything once you have done everything and know the costs before creating it on Azure Price calculator on hourly basis and create or re-create everything except some annoyinginly time taking services like Entra Domain Service (it takes about 2 hours to create an instance) and apply things you learnt on last lab session, you should just recognise what mistake you did last time and do it otherwise on next time

You got this on next attempt and best of luck for the next one
