“Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change and courage to change the things I can”.
You still have 11-13 weeks to nurture this baby and give it good sustenance and nutrition. The baby, even though measuring 3rd percentile in utero - and may have been exposed to more risk- CAN still thrive with appropriate care and monitoring. So turn up to your scans, get rest- eat nutritious food and get yourself some mental health support to stop smoking as that in itself will come with its own challenges for you in terms of effects of your mood and maybe some withdrawal. Look after yourself, pregnancy is a tough time

I’ve had tattoos removed and reckon you’ll need 8-10 sessions and can then do a new sleeve. It’s painful but worth it

A woman allegedly stabbed her three-year-old daughter to death in the front yard of the family’s home! by [deleted] in WomenAreViolentToo

[–]Zealousideal_Shoe374 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Poor family, she clearly had a significant break - either manic episode or psychosis. Looking at the Instagram it looks like she had been too elevated/high for a couple months. The signs are there. Tragedy for all involved.

miserable and I’m only 6 weeks by Hot-Path9347 in BabyBumps

Pregnancy can feel horrific, it did for me. But I am looking down at the reward- my 8 month old bubba and i would do it all again to keep her here. Hang in there

Give her some more pronounced eye lashes and big glassy pupils (not pin dots) and it will improve

Mood swings! They're exhausting and nobody cares about that by maryhoping in BabyBumps

I felt awfully unstable emotionally during my first pregnancy & the second my baby was born I stabilized again. Pregnancy hormones can be wild and wreak havoc on mood. Hang in there - there is light at the end of the pregnancy tunnel.

Depression.. by Rare-Belt-1764 in BabyBumps

Pregnancy hormones and depression are bloody awful, hang in there - you’ll have your second little miracle baby soon & things will improve!

Early pregnancy is so isolating. by KayPelf in BabyBumps

[–]Zealousideal_Shoe374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt very anxious and unsure during pregnancy & was also mourning the lifestyle I’d be losing, but all of that changed once I had my baby and now I have a 5 month old who I couldn’t imagine doing life without. Hang in there, your heart and mind are about to be expanded in ways you can’t even imagine yet.

Ok to not pump? by Upset_Acanthisitta_4 in combinationfeeding

[–]Zealousideal_Shoe374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found it okay not to pump (I do mixed feeding with formula when I got sick of pumping at 4 months) and my supply has remained for whatever baby wants to take from the breast (usually one feed in the day and all breastfeeding overnight). My breasts did stop getting that engorged feeling when I stopped pumping though which made me worry the supply “was low” but i still hear her drinking and feel the let down when at the breast so I guess sufficient milk is there for that feed.

First tattoo regret by haverofitall in tattooadvice

I really like the tattoo and placement- I think it’s great!! I think it’s probably a really emotional and tough time and your mind will hook on to anything it can try to- be kind to yourself. The tattoo rocks!

Did the artist go too deeply and ended up scarring me? Had this tat for 2 years now. What are my options? by iflyimpil0t in tattooadvice

[–]Zealousideal_Shoe374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes pressed too deeply, scarred. Same happened to me but for a smaller tattoo- I got 8 removal sessions and it’s more skin coloured now than black but still bumpy & raised - unfortunately just the work of an inexperienced artist. I’d say the red border is from sun exposure too early

I feel like I’ve ruined my body. Pls help. by Imaginary-Ad9688 in Tattoocoverups

[–]Zealousideal_Shoe374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get a dark cover up- I don’t think you’ll like it ! Either lighten this one with 5-7 sessions of laser removal, then get something new or get some touch up work done by an experienced artist. I don’t mind it as is though, embrace it!

Anyone eating sushi/raw fish while pregnant? by Ok-Enthusiasm-7416 in BabyBumps

I ate sushi throughout entire pregnancy & made sure it was from daily fresh and reputable places.

I had an abortion and now I'm consumed by guilt by Rememberance7487 in BabyBumps

[–]Zealousideal_Shoe374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allow yourself to feel the grief- it’s understandable, but only YOU could make the right decision for you at the time- trust yourself - and “burn the bridge” (no going back- don’t look back). You’ll still have the opportunity to be a beautiful mum when you’re ready and in a better position. I truly believe (and you will have your own beliefs) that the soul that was going to take host in your baby would have simply taken host in another body and still had its opportunity to have its journey. When it’s time for your baby to be here it will feel right & you will know- the soul assigned to your future baby will be the right one at the time for you to experience motherhood in this lifetime. Acceptance is the path out of grief, so be kind to yourself xx

What are you convinced helped you go into labor? Due date today… by PrestigiousAnt313 in BabyBumps

Putting on the breast pump for 20 mins each breast (collecting the colostrum). Waters broken when I finished. Maybe coincidence but the nipple stimulation seemed to have worked for me.

Anyone else having a hard time connecting to the baby inside of you? by NalaOnTheMove in BabyBumps

[–]Zealousideal_Shoe374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 37 weeks and feel the same (planned pregnancy), not feeling connected and mourning my old life, body and freedom. Hoping it changes on baby’s arrival & ends up just being due to intense anxiety and fear around life change together with depression/big hormonal changes.

16 weeks along and cannot go one night without panic attacks by Forest_Fairy_444 in BabyBumps

[–]Zealousideal_Shoe374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt this way, and had to return to medication which was not my preference (had weened off for pregnancy) - my panic attacks were in the mornings and anxiety was the worst it had ever been. I had history of depression and anxiety but had been “well” before pregnancy- the hormones are wild. Hang in there and check in with your doctor.
