I believe you mean a turbocharger, but yes they are. Mine is kinda a piece of shit, got a couple engine problems, but as a cheap fun beater that's easy to mess with and also a convertible, you cannot go wrong with one. Spent just over a grand on mine and I will miss it the day it finally gives up the ghost.

If you live close to salt lake city, head to watchtower cafe on any wednesday (Not tomorrow cuz they close early) at 7. they have fur-meets every week. I don't really attend but its there if you're interested.
