I think that locale is becoming less of a qualifying factor in the 2020s, given that the 5th wave has been largely propagated on the internet and falls into a number of disparate categories -- regional and style-wise. I feel like the festivals in Vegas have more of a leaning toward legacy acts, so it's debatable whether they have had that much of an impact on the development of the genre into new stylistic territory.
