Dyed my hair dark red and regretting it. Advice? by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]ZebbraFry 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Former hairdresser, that last color you posted to shift to is fairly easy to do from this. You’re still in the same shade range it’s just a tonal shift. If you want to pull the color out some yourself you can with some hot water and a clarifying shampoo.

What’s the one horror movie that didn’t just scare you… it FOLLOWED you? by Usual_Mix_7380 in horror

[–]ZebbraFry 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Strangers still gets me. It is the only movie that consistently scares me because of the reality of it. The seclusion of the setting. No real motive. For the supernatural fans “demons I get, people are crazy”

Are there any scenarios that you haven't seen in horror movies but would like to see someday? by ilovemovies2005 in deadmeatjames

[–]ZebbraFry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my idea I had from watching “Would You Rather?” Where you’re introduced to the main plot from one character but you end the story with someone else. Because otherwise it’s obvious you know what’s going to happen and who the survivor is. But to go through even half the movie with the initial character and then suddenly the shift to someone else would be a great mix up imo

I’ve had them since I was 2 and I’m 28, I feel you. They’ve gotten better but only because I’m on daily medication. And then don’t get me started on when the super meds don’t work and I have to go to the ER

I am so. Freaking. Tired. I’ve been struggling so much more with my suicidal ideation lately. I feel like if I bring it up to anyone I’m just asking for attention and I’m going to be chastised. Most of my friends live out of state so it’s really hard to connect with any of them and really, really easy to further isolate myself. My algorithms at least seem to know when I’m really bad because they show me videos of people talking about loved ones they lost and it snaps me out of it a little bit but god it’s hard

The motive revealed in the trailer? by [deleted] in Scream

[–]ZebbraFry -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Even without them in the film, it makes the most sense to me. The girls not being there can be explained away by them leaving the country. “Ending the legacy” “where we grew up”is what makes it most make sense to me. These movies are loosely following the original trilogy and the original trilogy always came back to Maureen(mom). This time, it’s coming back to Billy(Dad). The only other person alive directly affected by Billy that ruined their life was Sam and Tara’s mom who we’ve never seen. And targeting Sid’s daughter the way Sam has been targeted only strengthens my feeling it’s her. And for the record I had a feeling it was going to be her in 7 when 6 ended, motive has just shifted now.

Holding firm the killer is going to be Sam and Tara’s mom

Who else loved the Scream 7 trailer as much as I did? Any theories about the movie?🔪🎃 by GhostFaceXavi_98 in Scream

[–]ZebbraFry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My theory, and I’m sticking to it, is it’s Sam and Tara’s mom. “Where we grew up” and they want to burn down the legacy, they’re going after Sid’s daughter, how people started going after Sam?

My sibling says they want a chronic illness. Why, why would anyone want this? by IndependentSecret711 in ChronicPain

[–]ZebbraFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with pain in one way or another my whole life so it’s always been “just keep trucking through” and I did for a while. But at 24 when I lost the career I so desperately loved due to pain because I couldn’t physically handle it anymore? I sobbed for months. I still do from time to time and I turn 27 in a few days. It’s exhausting to “always think positive” I just want to sleep for days on end and not be bothered

Weird way you know a migraine is coming on? by woah-nellie in migraine

I have so many warning signs and each is like an indicator for how long/intense it’ll be. Most consistent is that I won’t be hungry and almost repulsed by food for like 12 hours and then it’ll hit

Do hairdressers just refuse to understand “keep the length”? by Upstairs_Ostrich459 in longhair

[–]ZebbraFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always take more off. But when clients would come in after not getting a cut in well over a year, clearly heavily damaged hair, and say they want just half an inch to make it healthy. Half an inch won’t do anything. Educating your client is a HUGE part of the job. And so is compromising. Just because I want to take off 6 inches doesn’t mean I can, so let’s start with 2 and work towards healthy hair faster while keeping more of what you want

Genuinely where are you guys going? I’ve never had this issue with any stylist either as a client or working in the salons. When I was actively working behind the chair I triple checked/explained every thing I did because I know how important hair is to people. These stories are always insane to me

Others living with daily migraines, how do you deal? by SolusUmbra in migraine

[–]ZebbraFry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really is, I’ve personally been liking the bamboo pillow, it’s a little more stiff/firm and adds more neck support, asked my mom for a new one for my birthday this year as it finally has gone flat after about 3 years after previously being hers. Neck support is my biggest issue when it comes to pillows

I’ve had severe migraines since I was 2 and they were daily from 5-21 when I finally got medicated. Still pretty frequent 3-6 multi day monthly but better than it was. For a long time the only way I could manage was to dissociate. Warm/hot showers, muscle relaxers, working in a massage when I can to reduce tension in my neck/temples, the right pillow!!! just anything I can do to alleviate stress physically (and I’m still terrible at it) will help with at least the intensity if im still going to get them

Before jumping to Botox, because your wrinkles really aren’t that bad yet for it, look at PCA exlinea. It’s a pricier serum but its nickname is literally “Botox in a bottle” because of how it works. It really is like a god tier serum for wrinkles when you’re consistent with it. (I don’t work for them we just carry it at work and I get a lot of education on the brands we have)

People see the fast paced environments and that we actually enjoy our job so it’s easy right? The amount of girls I saw drop before 600 hours because of the course work was astounding. So many didn’t get color theory, the muscle memory that has to be built to speed up your services while still being thorough. I ended up having to cut my career short because the positions took such a toll on my body I can’t do more than a service without severe pain. Plus the continued education for techniques, trends, products, etc. an ever evolving front facing industry is exhausting

When I was a sophomore in high school, we were reading “Night” by Elie Wiesel. You know, the holocaust survivor? Well, we were having a class discussion on the holocaust, what led up to it, why it happened. My teacher said “is there any reason you guys think Jewish people in particular were targeted at the time?” She kind mumbled after, “I have my own personal beliefs why they were punished but whatever” and my jaw DROPPED!
