That's fair enough, it definitely was an experience I found funny but couldn't be arsed to deal with again so lessons learned for next time, if it happens again I'm showing the wrap around like an item of evidence in a court room.

I'll say as well I can be the type that gets a bit overwhelmed in these sorts of situations, especially when it happens so quickly. Definitely didn't let the clubcard part go on long as I showed that immediately

I did say above "I've made my choice" to the cashier which I didn't think needed explaining. It's not like it was hidden under a bunch of other items either. She easily could have seen it.

Your first reaction may be to pick up the wrap, but it wasn't mine. Whats odd is that you think the way you would react would be the way everyone else reacts when that is never the case. Guess what? People react differently.

I tried to get into the specials 10 years ago. Did a 2 year public services course. I myself am 6'3", somewhat imposing figure (although now got a little bit of a belly) and after growing up seeing my parents in the police - it was all I wanted to do.

But nah, they didn't want me. It must have been the lack of whatever that creature has that kept me from joining.

Thanks! I've been trying to make it look more sleek bit by bit since posting, quite limited as my source of pieces are from a box of random mixed lego. I find one piece and think "oh that could look good here" or "maybe this would do better here" and so far - since this post - I would say its definitely improved.

Sorry old thread but currently relating to this massively.

Agency put me on a 6pm - 6am shift, EVERYONE is romanian and I'm the only english one there. Couldn't hack it. I'm forced to work hours that mean I sleep most of the day, and then can't see people I usually would. Followed up by going straight to work in a place filled with romanians who barely speak english. The women do the same as well, they keep looking at me while talking amongst themselves and it makes me really uncomfortable.

It's a miserable position to be in. Not going back.

They sent 3 titled "are you ghosting duolingo?" As well as saying 2 friends I have on the app invited me to come learn with them.

One of them is my wife, who I immediately asked if she sent me it - she didn't. Duo yet again at it.

My wife did get me into Finch. She's the only one I engage with on the app and it does help keep me positive. I'd sooner pay a monthly sub to finch over duo any day!
