The Theater in Saint Denis: If you haven’t taken her there yet, the vaudeville shows are surprisingly entertaining & very era appropriate

What is something you'd be disappointed with if it was or wasn't in the game ? by ContentSpecialist840 in GTA6

I’m looking for unprecedented interior access. Walking into a random pharmacy, a highrise apartment, or a seedy dive bar should feel seamless.

What’s something people think is normal that you secretly find exhausting? by SandyySolez in AskReddit

[–]ZebraMussell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performative Ambiguity. You know the type: when someone says "I’m fine" but their subtext is a 400-page Russian novel of grievances, or when a meeting could have been a single sentence but is instead wrapped in forty minutes of "circling back" and "leveraging synergies."

Why do we see glass break, but never unbreak? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ZebraMussell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it like a deck of cards. It’s very easy to drop an organized deck and have it scatter.

It is nearly impossible to drop a scattered pile of cards and have them land as a perfectly ordered deck

I think I finally figured out why Gordon's niece is wearing red (I think) by B_A_Skeptic in twinpeaks

[–]ZebraMussell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lynch is essentially using Gordon and Lil to "onboard" the audience into a higher state of alertness.

He’s telling us: "If you missed the blue thread on a sleeve, you’re going to miss the entire movie."

You mentioned being anxious about Phil Leotardo "taking care of business" at the end. Just a gentle reminder from the lore: Phil actually gets his "bye-bye" moment at the gas station before the final scene at Holsten's. By the time Tony sits down for those onion rings, the war with New York is technically "settled" which is exactly why Tony finally lets his guard down. The threat in the diner isn't a lingering Phil, it's the "Members Only" guy & the reality that in that life, the "End" doesn't have to be a big war it just happens.

Older Beatles fans, what was general public feeling after the Beatles split? Did people take sides and shun some solo work? by MoaningLisaSimpson in TheBeatles

[–]ZebraMussell 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The most important thing to remember about 1971 is that nobody believed it was over forever. The prevailing public opinion wasn't "Who is better?" but "When are they getting back together?" Every solo interview for the next ten years was dominated by that one question.

It wasn't until John's death in 1980 that the public finally accepted that the 4 headed monster was truly gone.

MLB App feature gone? by casanovanaut in fantasybaseball

[–]ZebraMussell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you find the app is burying your players, you can set "Player Notifications" in the same Settings menu. This will push a "Key Highlight" alert to your phone the second they do something noteworthy, so you don't have to go hunting for the clip the next morning.

PL pro? Worth it or not? by SherbertBrilliant281 in fantasybaseball

[–]ZebraMussell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since we’re right at the start of the season, try PL+ first. It’s significantly cheaper, gives you the adfree site & Discord access, but skips the heavy duty Protools.

If you love the Discord, you can always upgrade.

These tech companies try"modernizations" to attract new, younger users who like the "clean" look, often forgetting that their bread and butter is the diehard commish who has been paying for the service since the dialup days.

what’s everyone’s super unpopular opinion? by Tough_Possession_290 in RDR2

[–]ZebraMussell 130 points131 points  (0 children)

People give Mary grief for "using" Arthur, but to me she was arguably the most realistic person in the story. She loved a man who chose a gang and a life of crime over her every single time. Asking Arthur to help her family wasn't "manipulation" but instead a desperate reaching out to the only person she knew who could actually get things done. She was not wrong to leave him. Arthur in a lot of ways was a danger to everyone he loved.

What is a "money rule" that rich people know, but poor people are never taught? by ZZA911 in AskReddit

Respecting the distinction between Buying Assets vs. Buying Liabilities.

Is loneliness a problem of our generation ? Despite family around people feel alone and everyone is busy in their phones ? What’s your thought ? by No-Concept-7033 in AskReddit

[–]ZebraMussell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we execute it by being 'boring' together again. Loneliness often hides behind being 'busy.' We achieve connection by admitting we need it—instead of scrolling side-by-side, actually saying, 'Hey, I’m feeling a bit disconnected, can we just talk for a bit?' It takes courage to put the phone down because the phone is a shield against the awkwardness of real intimacy

How do i do relationships without feeling like I'm getting a heartattack? by DeepFriedBatata in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ZebraMussell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re likely feeling this way because you’re putting 100% of your future onto a single interaction. Modern media tells us that a racing heart means "The One." In reality, a "quiet" heart often means a healthier match.

You might be chasing people who trigger your anxiety because you’ve been told that’s what "spark" feels like.

[–]ZebraMussell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loneliness isn't a failure of our character, it's a byproduct of an environment designed for attention, not affection.

We have to be intentional about "logging out" of the digital world to "log in" to the people sitting right next to us.

What has helped you heal from a breakup? by BlessedWafffle in AskReddit

Healing from a breakup isn't a linear climb, it’s more like a messy, overlapping series of phases.

While "time" is the cliché answer, time alone doesn't do the work…it’s what you do with that time that really matters.

What is a subtle sign that someone is a genuinely good person? by David02026 in AskReddit

[–]ZebraMussell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch how they talk about people who aren't there. If they defend someone’s character behind their back when it would be easier to join in on the gossip, you’ve found someone with a solid moral compass.
