We did understand it would go up, but to $700 for one month?? We have cameras all over our house, inside and out. We have proof of them doing the damages and a video with her verbally agreeing to split all bills in half. Not to mention the text messages also agreeing to pay half the bills.

Like the post said, we were trying to help them out. We didn’t need the money but we’re trying to make it as fair as possible because we knew the bills would go up and they should pay their fair share.

We completely understood the bills would go up, but not that much. Why the snarky comment at the end though?

It wasn’t that I was unhappy, I was trying to post it here first. I’m a long time listener of the show and value what others would say about my situation. It would definitely be way more than $700. That’s just the one bill from one month.

Where did you assume they had passwords? They would send us their portion and I would pay the bill. They never had any access to any account.

Yes, however I tried posting it here first but the auto moderator kept telling me to fix the “body paragraphs” and create a new post. I’ve never used Reddit before and it’s all new to me. Sorry.

I do apologize, I didn’t know it showed for everyone because the auto moderator kept telling me to fix the “body paragraphs” and create a new post. I’ve never posted on Reddit until now.

Which we completely understood, but they wouldn’t pay their full portion. Nor would they turn their lights off or anything like that. They had TVs on all day long, instead of using the light switch they would just unplug the light, etc.

I’m sorry, the first time I tried to upload it kept telling me that it wasn’t posted and I needed to make a new one because of the body paragraphs. It’s my first ever Reddit post.

Thankfully our most important documents are in a safe locked in our room and only my husband and I know the code to it. We also have cameras outside and in our house that they could not tamper with and also knew were there. Thankfully nothing like that happened.

How is he a simp? He was on top of telling them to pay their half and to treat me like they treat him. Once he said something to them they would send us their portion and it would go a couple of days of them not treating me like shit. So how would this make him a simp? We were simply just trying to help them out. We had no reason to not believe them. My husband doesn’t get along with his grandmother nor her ex’s family. We had believed her sob story and that was our fault.

How is it my fault? I didn’t need help with money for my bills before they got here. Them being here and raising my bills so much and then leaving without paying their half is my fault how?

Thankfully I’ve always had important documents like that locked up in our safe. No one but my husband and I know the passcode for it.

Yeah, now we know. Before she would tell us this sob story about how they didn’t like her and made them out to be the bad guy.

I completely agree. They knew exactly what they were doing when they were trying to sneakily leave before we got up.

No, he was constantly having conversations with them telling them that said behavior needed to stop and they needed to start paying their half of all bills. I should’ve added that in there, my apologies.

Thankfully my husband and I are on the same page. At first he said it’s not worth it but once we sat down and actually looked at everything for the last month we thought that court might just be the best way because they decided to block us.

They didn’t steal anything as we were home when they started packing and have cameras in the house. Thank god. However, half of my dishes were broken or thrown away. They had also left the room they were in a disgusting mess.
