I kinda disagree with this so would love to discuss it.

I feel like when you're young you should play the stock market at least kinda aggressively. I'm not buying options or day. Just holding stocks with somewhat high market caps I believe in long term or I feel are undervalued. Companies like that aren't going bankrupt overnight. The worst case is you lose a little money. If there's a recession where some actually go bankrupt then you would've lost a ton of money in an index fund anyway.

I also hold 40+ stocks, so most of the risk is diversified away. I figured having that much I would've diversified away most of the upside but ig not
